Ex Unit** Mo***s for a long time, then he had his share in the Middle East and now runs a very busy work shop at his house. have seen him doing mods on Jeeps too, if you are still looking let us know.
  2. EK3 for econmy, less maintenance better resale etc. etc. Anyway as mentioned earlier taste differs...

    What To Select ???

Recommend HRV, Once Honda you will always enjoy. IO is real Aiyo Suzuki 4wd is bit bouncy the 5 seater specially, I am sure others will enlighten you too. Good luck
  4. Try to stay away from Korean
  5. EK 3 - Economical, low maintenance cost. You may be lucky if you can get hold of a 99 / 00 - Crystal light.
  6. A Toyoto is A TOYOTA.
  7. Hi all My driver knocked the car from behind in to a bus last Monday 10th and we got the on site approvals from Jana***ti. I am yet to send it for repairs and the detailed estimate. Today I have got a cheque for 25,ooo/- being an advance payment and I was very pleasantly surprised. I am sure there must be an issue with your claim, so hope you will first be able to go and figure that out.
  8. What VVti has mentioned is correct, I think Insurance co's are expected to send a report of accident claims to Police every month, there they catch the accidents and drivers who have not adhered to the law. Better lodge an entry.
  9. Congrats, Good luck, I am sure u r enjoying the Peugeot.... happy driving
  10. Peugeot 406 HDI are real troublesome, specially the diesel engine itself
  11. Manager - Claims. Generally ask for the Supervisor of the front desk person if you are not happy. They generally put you thro'. If not Mr. Thananchayan
  12. Its a good car. thats about the price, average in economy, not much of a second hand mkt & spare parts. You will have to be careful with the auto version?
  13. I have Insured many vehicles and had many claims with Jan***, but never had any major issues, Well you or they could reopne the file? once I had an issue where I have requested to bear a certain portion or % to get second hand body parts even for a smaller damage rather than repairing, they made a small mistake and paid me less and said they have closed the file, but when I asked the situ they readily re opened the file and adjusted my claim and re issued a chq. You will have to go meet and discuss with a higher person than the front desk, there must be a reason, get to know the reason. I am sure then you could sort it out.
  14. Think Mitsubishi did some in the late 60's & 70's - Colt, check it out. Vasana already doing Vans. How about the LR's & the Jags
  15. Since it's a D8 and mileage 100 + I would say if you could get little below that it should be ok, alternatively the B9 English no's are moving around 11 to 15 a good G or H numbered. We recently sold the HQ no for 13/25 with 88 on the clock. Keep negottating and why don't you go up to the Pelawatte guys and ask what they know for sale as well. Good Luck
  16. This was a 1.8 manual, City about 8 - 8.5 per ltr, Out of CMB up to 11 easily. All with AC. Cheers
  17. HI, I agree with Harshan, we had 406 for 3 1/2 yrs as a daily drive which use to do an average of 60km's per day. If you are to buy a similar or somewhat equivalent Jap car how much do u hv to pocket out more, so for the little trouble if u r to think, u hv the price benefit on the purchase price. the famous guys for the Peugeot repairs are now at Battaramulla Pelawatte, so if u r close by u r lucky. If u could get hold of low mileage, well maintained with records and a manual you should be happy as Larry. I think its recommendable even as a first car. Good Luck
  18. They have just restarted after the Lindsay Girl's school case and have cleared certain areas which stopped halfway in Colpetty like behind Fab area. So looks like they are back. Original plan in 1998 was to bridge at Colpetty before Galle face Hotel like, then they were considering to connect at Station Rd, Colpetty junc, I believe that's the plan.
  19. I believe little less than 1.2 as ENglish no's are asking around 1275 to 1350 bracket.
  20. What area of work are you looking at. Mechanical, electrical s etc..
  21. Congrats. I don't think u will regret an A6.
  22. It is Mr. Wijesinghe - he is the best, I think Cl**n Pa*k too advertise, check it out, but Mr Wat Col 3is for sure the person.
  23. As Gunat suggested its best you make a complain to Consumer Affairs Authority , they are realyy effective. More appropriately you could complain to Insurance Board of Sri Lanka as all Insurance co's are governed by them. Better push some higher ups, that's what work in SL, after all we are land like no other. Hope you get matters sorted quickly.
  24. HI, I believe CE110 range around 16 - 18 or so depending on the condition. I got CE210 Premio for the last 5 yrs, very happy absolutely no problems, price may range around17/50 to 20 or so . Depends on what you are looking for, economy wise premio does around 10 per liter in city and out of town it gives me upto 13.5 per liter both with A/c. If you need power, ground clearance, cabin space and comfort and a good taxi basically the premio is ideal. Corolla I hear the 2C non turbo doesn't pull well and the low ground clearance. Though you pay slightly more I am sure Premio will give you a better deal. Good Luck
  25. Yes, u r correct, pass munch and well before homagama. Its within a kilo meter passing munchi on to your left from CMBO. he fixed few problems for me some time back and only specilaizing in AUTO GB's and Turbo. A name like Jayasiri or Laksiri , you can't miss it, its a huge workshop you can see it from the High Level Road, to enter through a by road.
