  1. The best place to study Automobile Technology in SL is German tech. To my knowledge at Arabian Motors theirs no qualified persons to teach
  2. yes they tend to paste break pads with asbestos material and most makabasses promote it even clutch plates can be pasted like that. However the most serious issue is asbestos is a carcinogen even cheap counterfeit break pads contain high amount of asbestos. with the application of breaks asbestos dust will emit into the atmosphere.
  3. Just for curiosity isn't vezels equipped with ESP?
  4. USP tyres Papiliyana
  5. spares are freely available and much cheaper than Japanese originals.there are independent persons who are carrying out maintenance with original diagnostic equipment with direct access to Germany. However the problem is Body parts since this is a new model most of the body parts are not available in the local market and you have to sought them from the agent else you have to wait for around two weeks to get them down from Singapore. Finally it is a fairly good car which you can use as a daily runner and expect some minor electronic issues which can be rectified quite easily.
  6. Replaced My original German Michelin Primacy 3 (225/55/R17) with Japanese Dunlop Veuro's for 24150/= each. Gives same level of performance as Michelins
  7. Yes it has to change signal flasher is based on a RLC circuit. With the installation of LED bulbs resistance has been changed try to add some resistance in series it might change the frequency
  8. Thanks Sampath
  9. You can directly complain to Supreme courts. In writing complaint will be sufficient. But before complaining try to have some concrete evidence against your lawyer because this will be a very serious allegation.
  10. Model:1000CC Ezi Mileage:84000Km YOM: 2008 I checked with Thai motors, parts are not available. However they said they sold the entire kit for Rs15000/= Janatha Motors quoted me the above price for Valeo
  11. If your vehicle is within the warranty period why do you bother to use parts sorted from the outside market since most components are covered under the warranty
  12. Hi, Today Unimo quoted following prices for Viva, Pressure plate:Rs 9627 Clutch plate: Rs 9850 Clutch Bearing: Rs 9612 Where as I inquired from Panchikawatte they quoted me both pressure plate and clutch plate Rs 7000 from Valeo . Does any body know what is the OEM brand for perodua?
  13. They have simply copied audi Q7.
  14. Sasika, Are you done with your vezel nonsense. Talk about sh*t that you know. How come Diesel parts be more expensive compared to their petrol counterparts. I have been using diesel Euro vehicles for past 15 years from my experience both parts costs almost same in fact Euro diesels are cheaper to maintain, more reliable and fun to drive.
  15. My perception, Vezel is an average vehicle and theirs nothing significant about it to talk about. It is best suited for an average user to travel from A to B efficiently and I can compare it to a 1950's Morris Minor. As I have mentioned above when it comes to above 80 speeds it becomes sluggish compared to other vehicles in 150 bhp range.
  16. Keep in mind their's factor called weight also involved. Yes I agree combination of ICE and motor gives Superior characteristics (eg composite material). However you have to sacrifice on the weight, ultimately you gain nothing.
  17. when it comes to accident repairs I don't have faith in any reputed places. Just go into their pain booth and see how much dust and moisture accumulated inside.
  18. For Toyota OEM air filter is Denso. Try replacing with original or Denso
  19. most vezzels in sri lanka are not even AWD . I have personally witnessed how so powerful vezzels struggles when it comes to above 80kmph speeds.
  20. Dilan Boralasgamauwa 077 634 7214
  21. I personally feel 2.6M for a entry level Malaysian make is not reasonable. There are good secondhand alternatives when it comes to this price range
  22. How come 523i lack space compared to 520D. And for your information, for Euro vehicles most of the time only originals spare parts are available. If you maintain a JAP vehicle using Original parts maintenance cost will same (in my experience original European parts are somewhat cheaper compared to JAP parts)
  23. No they usually sought paint from outside market ( some agents have vendor provided in house mixing facilities) To my knowledge only OEM approved paint brand available in SL is Sikkens
  24. Dont buy a BMW if you cant dedicate some time for it.It is not like maintaining a honda using counterfeit spare pars. you will need to seek advice from specialist people and some times have to wait for spare parts to be bought down. When it comes to diesel now the problem is solved with the introduction of the four star Diesel. The sulfur concentration is now within the stipulated limits of the manufacturer if the claimed value by CPC is true.
  25. I have a very bad experience with them at their main work shop. my viva met with an minor accident in 2010 and I handed over the vehicle to them, it took them 3 months to do the repair(3 weeks to prepare the estimate) their explanation was they are over load with sudden spike of viva sales and their work shop cannot cope up with the demand. When it comes to workmanship it becomes worse, during my visits to the company i witnessed that some cars are painted outside with out using the paint booth. when it comes to my car there was over spray of clear coat and very bad deposit of paint residues from other vehicles. Finally the paint they have used is inferior quality and it got faded very fast.
