No this is untrue. I'm a daily Mini runner since 1998. You will not face any over heating issues if you use; 1. 74C thermo 2. a good secondary electric exhaust fan with a genuine mini fan switch 3. a good fan leaf (without bends) 4. good radiator coolant 5. have the rubber like cover between body and radiator 6. have the correct and genuine radiator cap 7. have the over flow canister 8. engine is well tuned 9. correct spark plug. I tried a set of NGKs (BPR6ES) which i bought from the popular mini store here and removed as it increased the heating limit. Denso seems good. 10. radiator is cleaned 11. have the correct radiator. 3 core/2 core depending on the engine 12. A/C is regulated 13. no slipping fan belts 14. use the correct alternator. if you're using a Jap alternator, make sure that it does not create an extra load to the engine. 15. a good water pump GMI

Hi, Can someone tell me to which Divisional Secretariat office should I go to obtain revenue license of a lorry which is registered to an address in Ilukwatta, Kadugannawa? Is there a Divisional Secretariat in Kadugannawa or do I have to go either to Pilimathalawa or Kandy? Both Autoboss V30 and Launch Master x431 will serve your purpose. However you could cover older Toyota models which came with 17 pin port with it's self diagnostic feature and other Toyota models by using a low cost OBD II PC interface which will cost you below Rs.7,000-. You could cover Conzult I Nissan cars which came with 14 pin connector by using a PC interface which will cost you around Rs.5,000-. You will miss only Nissans came after year 1998 or so. Equipments which support Nissan are well over Rs.200,000- price mark as of it's Proprietary Consult protocol. -GMI

There is no place in SL where you could get brand new chrome wheel arches. these are very rare items in SL. you may check with Sarath-Kelaniya, Saman-Navinna and Suzuki Lanka-Kurana for used stuff.

Cheapest option is eBay. You can get Chinese brand new unbranded one from Darley road for Rs.5500-. There are branded used ones available in Delkanda from Rs.4,000- to 6,000-

there is a place in Old Kottawa Road, near temple road junction in Maharagama. He's said to be a well known specialist for auto boxes and the place is always busy - I've never been to try him out as I do not own any automatics.

Manufacturer has recommended 94 RON, but I switched to IOC Extra Premium after Cypetco price increase. I hardly feel any difference between Ceypetco 95 and IOC Extra Premium in my Mini.
