  1. When the Vezel reached our shores for the first time, it was such an attractive "SUV" for the Sri Lankans with posh looks, lots of options and a decent price tag (below 5 million ) and most of all a HYBRID. I bet most of the people who bought it didn't know the transmission was DCT or even what DCT means. All they knew was that it's an automatic gearbox as car sales people said to them. Most of them followed the heard and bought them. There were no competitive alternatives at that time for Vezel. Even there were some, either they were not hybrids or they didn't offer options as much as the vezel. But with the release of competitive vehicles for similar prices and reliable gearboxes (such as CHR) , the importation of Vezels drastically fell. Still there are some importing it but most of them don't even know it has DCT. The agent offered the international version of Vezel which is Honda HRV gasoline with CVT box but compared to Vezel it was expensive and came with less options . So nobody went for it. I have seen around 3 of these vehicles in Colombo though.
  2. That maybe because their CVTs have proven reliable than Nissan's CVT or DCT. It seems manual gearboxes are popular in UK as I see these UK car reviewers choose them for their vehicle reviews more than autos.
  3. In UK they offer 7 speed automatic and 6 speed manual gearboxes. If our agent is also importing from UK maybe we can order a manual one. Also I'm pretty sure there are plenty of grey importers who are willing to bring down a manual one. https://youtu.be/X3cVttIXmOs

  5. Even the agent seems to be keen on promoting the Juke over the Qashqai because once I inquired about the latter from them, all they were telling about was the Juke and that it has all tha active driving aids such as lane departure warning , emergency brakes , adaptive cruise control etc. It seems to be the first time A#W is offering these in one of their brand new vehicle. This is from an email I received from them. Multi information display is bigger than in CHR and looks nice. But on downside it has only single zone climate control . 6. Nope. Doesn't look like any carbon deposition there. And I'm close to 30k
  7. Tail lights from Toyota Fielder?
  8. Maybe he tried to put mileage as the price tag just to have some fun
  9. It's hard to believe that a car of that size with a 1.5L engine would struggle on highway. Specially a Mazda
  10. Agent imports of Mazda 2 and 3 seems to not have it. But Mazda axela proactive 1.5L gasoline models seems to have centre tacho.
  11. Yeah true. But unfortunately someone mentioned in a previous thread that Mazda 2 offered in SL has a small tachometer to the left side.
  12. I can remember he mentioned that it handles well and fun to drive car like any other Mazda
  13. @Supra_Natural had a Mazda 2 Sedan. I think he sold it and bought a Miata
  14. If you're looking for a sporty, well handling car go for A1. If you expect good fuel economy with comfort, go for axio hybrid. If you expect none of the above go for a vitz.
  15. This was at Ceylon Motor Show (BMICH ) in 2017 , the classic car section
  16. Congrats on the ride. You won't regret buying the AWD, believe me.
  17. Actually CHR mentioned in this catalogue is not exactly similar to S-T grade since S-T grade does not have LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring and Rear cross traffic allert. Anyway suspension seems to be the same in Australian version and JDM version but still there would be differences
