I have a 2015 XV (non hybrid), it's a nice vehicle - rugged and versatile, stable ride and never gave a trouble so far. Not sure about X1 but we have an X3 in the family, BMW is usually in a different league than Subaru. Comparatively XVs suspension is a bit rough and the bells and whistles are less. Repairs and maintenance is no problem with the Agent (Senok). If you're looking for luxury features such as leather seats, dual AC etc BMW is a good option. Also sound insulation and air filtering is good in BMW. In the traffic if I forget to turn on internal air circulation, BMW doesn't make any difference, Subaru starts smelling the exhaust of vehicles in front. Subarus are very less and unique on the road, non hybrid comes with spare wheel and moonroof. But the maintenance and repairs on BMW are very costly. While Subarus are reliable long term cars, BMWs start giving issues after 4 or 5 years.

I use the 'Deluge' bit-torrent client. There is a plugin for that called Scheduler available under 'Preferences' -> 'Plugins'. Enable it and you can do lot of customization on when to start downloading and when to pause, Also you can speed limit at certain time ranges. This is what I'm doing to utilize the off-peak data from SLT.

Mazda 6 and XV both are equally good. It depends on what excites you most. I have a petrol XV so I'll list the good things. XV Advantages: AWD - Very good handling even in bad weather conditions. Ground clearance - Can go over many obstacles. It's a kind of go anywhere vehicle. Slight off roading is no problem. Handles like a car with such a ground clearance. Feels very stable at high speeds. Roof rails - easy to mount roof racks / cargo carriers. Also possible to attach bicycle rack in the back. Petrol XV comes with moon roof. It's quite fun. I've heard good things about Mazda6 as well. If you're a fan of classy sedans can go that way.

Subaru XV is what I have. Hybrid must be going around 7m mark now. I would say it's worth a look too. Mazda CX-5 is a neat choice. If you think that's bulky or over the budget checkout CX-3 as well.

Took that route just after the heavy rains - end of November. Traveled during 8pm to 10pm in Puttalam-A'pura road. Didn't encounter any elephants and roads were no issue.

I would say for this time bear the trouble and do it the old way. Go there and get it done.

Yeah non-hybrid ones missing many bells and whistles. It matters only if you care, things like head up display. Just go to the agent and try checking out.

Yeah new one. Problem is finding one for sale, especially non-hybrid one. Agents have been telling it'll do 12 but that could be combined (city+outstation) fuel economy. Take it with a grain of salt. Skyactiv ones are good in terms of performance and economy but the agents imported ones are not skyactiv engines. Not sure how Colon*al doing now.

Second hand 2014 Mazda3 may be?

If you are not a daily runner, get a non-hybrid vehicle. Mazda Demio, Suzuki Swift, Toyota Vitz/Vios are good choices.

Guys, Looking to replace the horns that came stock in my Subaru XV. Do you have any suggestion for any brand or place? I'm looking at Bosch, have you anyone used their products? How much would it take approximately? I like the sound of F10. One that comes stock sounds like a lady screaming. So I want to get rid of it and put on a manly horn. Thanks!

Genuine parts from agents are a tad more expensive always. Same is true for Honda spares from Stafford. I don't have first hand experience buying spares from Senok yet, so not in a position to comment on that. Subarus are reliable machines. Also being brand new and all it should not be too much of a concern IMHO.
