Opz dts too bad.. i assumed we are getting all the variants here, and i personally don't think 1.3 worthy for 6mil range either.. with regard to the gearbox wear, i guess it should be fine for a normal gearbox to keep it neutral in heavy traffic.. I even does the same on my Honda CVT gearbox
-
Oh wait, i think i wasn't wrong, please check below link and it says engine stops automatically when the car is in IDLE mode (scroll to the bottom of the page).. http://www.perodua.com.my/ourcars/bezza
-
Opz looks like it doesn't.. but i watched a review of 2016 model. By the way how is the fuel consumption in city limits ?
-
Are you sure? or is there a variant which has IDLE stop and start functionality? because if im not mistaken the video i watched says it does ? Or that's what i remember.. let me recheck it.
-
That's true.. That's the exact behavior for Stingrays as well.. If u need the eco idle mode to work, u should leave it in N with Brake paddle pressed. However, im not quite sure the impact for the gearbox though.. Does yours comes with a conventional gearbox or CVT ?

COngrats on your new purchase. Please do update us.. I'm currently looking into the same vehicle. By the way which year model did you purchase + engine capacity ?

2000 Honda City Ignition Coil Failure
PerfMad replied to Tharindu kankanamge's question in Electrical problems
Sorry to hear your problem. When you mean short did they check for the root cause? -
you didn't buy it yet?
-
Sorry to hear your situation. Did you use a genuine timing belt ?
-
Happy to help. Do let me know the outcome Note that this may have an impact on your AUTO power shutter functionality to stop working (as memory will be wiped out), but i will tell you how to reprogram it as it requires only few simple steps ..
-
It could be something to do with the functionality of the system. You could try with resetting the system (if the system manual has a way). What is the system installed? There are some advance system which needs to do some configurations after resetting for it to be used.. However, if you are having a basic security system then, try resetting it. If not you can remove your negative battery terminal and keep it for 10-15 mins and then plug it again and see whether it will resolve the problem.. (this is not advised if your system is an advance system and if you are not capable of reprogramming it by yourself)
-
As far as im aware, this function comes with the security system for vios. I believe the one you are having is a after market one. To me it sounds like an issue with your security system. Do you have the security system with an Immobilizer ?

Does your car IDLING speed remain as it is when AC is on (though AC stops working, when ur vehicle is not moving), if so it could it be due to some relay malfunction as well.

That's awesome.. By the way i mistakenly typed headset instead of headunit Anyways Kenwood is a good brand. By the way how much did it cost you and what was the size of speakers?
-
Congrats on your new purchase. It looks really clean..
-
I guess the normal size of the speakers allowed is between 6-6.5 inches (can be simply measured if you take off the door boards). If you prefer a good bass (assuming front original speakers has a good bass and sound quality) you can go ahead with JBL or Pioneer speakers. Even Kenwood is great ( i had all four speakers in my Honda with original Kenwood setup and four 6.5 inch speakers and those has a really good bass and sound quality).. If your frond speakers are good, i would suggest to replace the rear with the same brand as front, of go with some branded speaker which gives better output when it is connected to your headset..

i second it
-
@RasanthiYes, if you are not in D position then this explains why..
-
Honda city is known for gearbox failures. However, if you haven't change your gearbox oil with honda recommended gear oil within last 15-20k, i would suggest you to change it first. If that doesn't resolve your issue, then your gearbox have worn out and its taking time to build up the oil pressure till it reaches working temperature. If oil change doesn't resolve your issue, you can get your gearbox inspected at Nilwala Motors and get their opinion on how to proceed..

The one i bought , owner said its from Japan and packing also confirmed it. However. since it doesn't cost much why not give it a try and see.. You won't loose alot even if it didn't work.
-
So as per him Sankei is a low quality one? hmmm .. but that's the most available brand (as per my understanding). But you can buy a sankei for the moment to see your issue is no longer there. And later you can slowly find a genuine recon cap and use it (and keep this as a backup. Just a suggestion)
-
I have seen only 0.9 bar and 1.1 bar.. Radiator shop told me that usually honda's comes with 1.1 bar. But i had a 0.9 bar cap previously. Also checked with my mechanic he asked me to go for 0.9 bar. So i bought a 0.9 bar cap and so far no issues. Coolant doesn't reduce in either. #sankei brand is good as it comes from Japan. Below link is for your preference. https://www.google.lk/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ebayimg.com%2Fimages%2Fg%2FUX4AAMXQHU1RxpPG%2Fs-l300.jpg&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FSANKEI-Made-in-Japan-Radiator-Cap-KH-C30-13lbs-0-9-Bar-%2F271257349981&docid=ku7GtzXDIVNByM&tbnid=TVrXLTtN65hLoM%3A&vet=10ahUKEwjzi8PL6IbbAhWLL1AKHTFlAv0QMwg3KAAwAA..i&w=297&h=300&bih=662&biw=1366&q=radiator cap sankei&ved=0ahUKEwjzi8PL6IbbAhWLL1AKHTFlAv0QMwg3KAAwAA&iact=mrc&uact=8

Hi @mjayanath I had the same issue in my Honda. However, i noticed that coolant has been leaking out from the cap. And there was two visible small holes on the edge of my top tank. Therefore, i removed the tank and took it to the radiator house and got a pressure test done and leaks were found(above mentioned two holes). I asked them to clean the whole radiator and fix the holes as well. At the meantime changed my radiator cap as well. Now everything is sorted. If you don't see any leaks, i would suggest you to change the radiator cap and see as it only cost you 600-700.
