  2. According to one one of the articles by Andy Wilman, the plan is to make most of the episodes of the next series to same standard as before and make several episodes, probably the last few episode, at a lower cost so that they can produce the show within the budget..
  3. lol with the low mileage you've got on the clock, i dont think that the numbers would many... how many Ks did you actually manage to put in it in last few years?
  4. sorry bro, i dont know of any places in SL that would sell these stuff off the shelf for an EG..try ebay. However, if this is your DD then think twice before you drop in some stiff springs as it could seriously reduce the ride comfort of the car, and not only that, it will make the whole interior rattle every time you go over a small bump or a pot whole. This could become a headache after sometime. Lets not talk about the other adverse effects this would have on the car in the long-run.
  5. any plans to get one and put your Z to a test?
  6. found it:
  7. hey there was a video about this iphone software on youtube. In that they compared that specific software of the iphone against one of the other units that measures HP using similar methods. Apparenlty the results produced by that iphone software(dynolicious) was far more accurate than the results produced by the other unit . So it might be a worthy investment. Ill try to find that video and post it here. Its a nice video to watch as they compare the final results with a real dyno sheet. OT:- is it possible to embed videos here in AL forum?
  8. Many happy returns of the day machan...
  9. As Elvis also pointed out the tyre profile seems to be an ok match for 15" wheels. Is your car's suspension modified in anyway? One of my friends is facing similar issues with his EG vtec under similar conditions, but in his case it is mainly due to modified suspension setup. In his case the stock springs had been reduced in length to lower the car and then coupled with aftermarket KYB shocks.Tyres on his car are about the same size as yours, but they fit perfectly inside the wheel wells. As evlis has also pointed out in his post, check for any wheel spacers. Check if the previous has lowered the car but cutting sections off the stock springs. But if you are 100% sure that the springs arent altered in anyway, then go back to the above post. EDIT: and also, dont forget to pay some attention to the last sentence of his post...
  10. Toyota announces $2.5b operating loss By North Asia correspondent Mark Willacy The world's biggest car-maker, Toyota, says it is facing an unprecedented crisis after announcing its first operating loss in 71 years. The company is blaming the downturn on a slump in world demand and the rising value of the Japanese yen. Facing a packed media conference, Toyota president Katsuaki Watanabe revealed the company had posted an operating loss of $2.5 billion for the financial year. Mr Watanabe said the world's largest carmaker was facing an unprecedented crisis because of the global financial downturn. The company has cut back on production, and will now freeze the opening of a new plant in the United States and scale down output in India. The Japanese car maker is considering slashing more jobs after forecasting the loss. Toyota is already in the process of laying off thousands of temporary and part time workers as the company struggles to deal with a slump in demand. Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso says Toyota's woes highlight the reach of the financial crisis. "I think the global economy has just embarked on building a new order after such financial chaos. And I understand we have a responsibility to meet such expectations," he said. "Decisive action is called for to tackle such a once in a century [event]." 11. Honda Cancels 2010 Acura NSX TOKYO — Honda has announced that the 2010 Acura NSX has been canceled. The car had reached the stage of prototype testing, but citing an economic situation that is "worsening every day in all regions," the automaker will not go forward with the front-engine V10 supercar. The cancellation was one of a long list of cutbacks, cancellations and changes to plans announced in CEO Takeo Fukui's year-end speech. Honda had already announced it is pulling out of Formula 1 racing after this year. The opening of Honda's new Sakura R&D Center and a new plant in Yorii, Japan, both scheduled for 2010, will be delayed. Expansion in some developing countries will be delayed, with India and Turkey named in the report, and operating officers will see their pay cut by 10 percent, while bonuses will be "reassessed" based on how business looks at the end of the fiscal year on March 31. On a brighter note, Honda says it is still focusing heavily on development of a new sub-Fit small car with a goal to introduce it within two to three years. The automaker is also vowing to "focus all our energy on hybrids and achieve mass market penetration as soon as possible." The Insight hybrid will make its debut next month at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, with sales to start in the spring. Inside Line says: Honda turns its attention toward hybrids and away from horsepower for now. — Laura Sky Brown, Correspondent Source: http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=138086

  14. You can always change to 95Octane without any problem and NO, it would not harm the engine or any component of the car. I cant really comment on the fuel comsumption but you would notice some increase in low range torque. This is purely based on my personal experience, so i am not sure whether you might experience this in all cars. Since it doesnt damage anything, why dont you give it a shot and see what changes it makes to your car, both in performance and fuel efficiency? whats your car anyway machan? EDIT: Before you shift to 95 make sure that you run the car nearly to empty, otherwise the results would be mixed..and with 95 octane fuel in, give it atleast 100kms before you make any judgement about the 95 fuel.
  15. ah you bugger
  16. no worries bro..

  19. yup saw some 1/4mile times posted in the internet and i think mid 11s is pretty good time for a stock car...also heard that some guys managed to hit late 10s, but I am not sure if it was modified or not..Should dig in a bit yea agree with you about the LC issue...the car was designed with such a feature built into it, but the owners are not allowed to use it. Forget the LC, but why not at least give them the right to turn the bloody VDC off. Also heard that some guy was going to bring a class action law suit against Nissan. But what I don’t understand here is the fact that why Nissan wouldn't come up and explain a bit more about what they mean by 'ABUSE'..Is it 2 launches? Or 10? Or what?

  21. I though the same when i saw the pic for the first time.But.."JustJap, the racing team that purchased it needed to cut it up to import it back to Australia"...they must have taken this pic while the cutting job was in progress... there is a small video of the cutting process.I'll try to find the link and post it later on
