Hi... My Hyundai auto gear box valve body 3rd gear shift solenoid is bad (high resistance on coil) and needs to be replaced. It has 4 more shift solenoids. Do I need to replace all 5 solenoids or just the bad one. The cost of a genuine solenoid is about Rps. 9000. Tks for any suggestions and comments.

Hi, My 2005 Tucson needs a new compressor. The current one is very noisy and much drag on the engine. Can anyone please recommend me a workshop around Colombo. I have never replaced a compressor so do the workshops usually provide a warranty?. Thanks to all !

Gents.... I have been told about Nil.ala .otors as one of recommended repair shops. Appreciate some feedback before I bite the bullet. My Hyundai has random hard shifting/dead spot during gear 1 and 2 up/down shifting. But after a few restarts, it works ok. If I leave it parked overnight, then again issue happens until the restarts are done.

2005 Tucson. Its an actual 4 sp AT. Has the Hyundai/KIA/Mitsubishi F4A42 gear box.

Hi guys, my AT gear box is downshifting hard while slowing down. Basically i feel it comes to 3rd and jumps straight to 1st, which gives a very bad jerk. This does not happen always. I need to get this checked from a reliable garage. Please let me know of any places around Colombo. Thanks.

Thanks both. I called Galle Motors, still waiting for their call back after checking stocks. I called SamWH at Panchi, they gave me the price but when I inquired about the brand, the axx hole there said its Malaysian made but didn't give me the brand and for me to lookup in the net. I called SamWH at Kelaniya, that guy was very nice. Told me it will cost 35k (heated) with installation. Said its Nippon brand and made in Malaysia. 10 year warranty. If its actually the Nippon Sheet Glass company, then I think its a good brand.

Hi.... I've got a cracked windscreen (around 10 inches) along the drivers side. I have never attended to this kind of repair before. So been searching and other than SWH - is there any other recommended shops around ? Its for a Hyundai Tucson. Tks and regards.

Hi, I am a first owner of a 2005 Tucson - 2.0L, 2WD, AT with 18" rims (16" standard). Its comfortable for its size and ride height. Done almost 175K. No major mechanical or electrical issues/repairs. Servicing is very cheap. There is some UV damage to roof rail plastics and of course the plastic headlight lens but the interior has held up well. No complaints whatsoever overall. Bought it for 4.5mil. I dont think I have lost much for all these years of service to me.

But why would anyone insult some others family on a public forum ?

So make sure you know the location its installed in the car in order to disable it, when you hide it ?
