i'm with the environment for any rule. bt the intention behind this is obviously for the government to ripp us of even more. ministers and their sonnys will obviously not have old cars and (also coz they got no taste in classic cars) they wont be checked anyways. even if they're fined the money they pay the fines are OUR TAXES. anyways why dun cops just catch the vehicles thats putting out too much smoke. its pretty obvious which vehicles are polluting and which are not. my car was tested. there's 4 tests. i failed 1 of em. being an old car (1981 mitsubishi colt) thats pretty good i think. My Carbon Monoxide level was too much when idle.

Thanx for the valuable info guys. i managed to get my engine stopping prob sorted out. bt the steering prob is still there. showed it to a couple of garages, they checked the rack bushes but they're alright. they saying stuff like get a new car now is that the way a mech should talk if he cant solve the prob. i think i'll go see wasantha, is it on the wesly college side. is it after wesly if i'm coming from borella junc. thanx again for all the advice guys

thanx for the info guys. i had got the lowerer arm bushes replaced sometime back. actually this happened after that. wheel alignment has been done. the steering rack was checked too. Mines a mitsubishi colt 1982. Could anyone recommend a suitable garage to get this fixed. i had a good garage that does all the stuff for me but they've gotten fed up of me coming there once at least one a month with some prob or another.

my steering wheel seems to have a slight play. when the car is mobile ther's a noise coming from wt i think is the steering rack. it sounds something like a box is shaking. this noise is only when driving straight. meaning the steering is in a straight line. when i turn the wheel this noise isnt there. anybody had this prob????

this prob started happening recently since i serviced my car. when waiting i'm at traffic or at red lights. the engine stops. you can start it up after that bt have to keep up the rpm or it stops. bt the same this doesnt happen at the the begining or end of wherenever i'm going. meaning i've parked the car and leaving it idling but it doesnt stop like it did on the road. my 1st guess is it might be my accelerator spring needs to be adjusted or the's a block in my petrol line and not enough petrols coming to the carb. plz guys, anyone had this prob b4

sadly i've also been a victim of these loosers about a year ago. got ripped abt 4000 to put my beadings since the old ones kept coming off. and they did a lousy job at that too. i've learned my lesson and never went there again. sun lanka is good they do only some things. but watch out coz those guys hang around sun lanka too. keep your doors locked when going that side. the guy actually had the guts to open the door from behind and get in to show me the way to their 'rip off spot' in the road opp joes. looks like alot of us have been ripped off big bucks off these guys. and many innocent ppl will still get ripped off. isnt there something we can do? tell the cops or some big shot to get them chased off???? anyone here have any political connections. if we could do something like that it would be really great!!!!

it looks like they've added a lip kit, side skirts decals. the bumpers look same as urs. That car is a colt. was going thru some colt projects on car domain. not many good ones for colts sadly

Thank u btw its somewhat modified or well i dont know what to call it. When i bought it both the bumpers were damaged beyond repair. so for the front bumper i've replaced with an L200 bumper. and the rear from a nissan match. It looks alright but the sides look a little weird, thats why i want to get a body kit so it'll have a better finish. Btw, I think you shouldnt modify your colt. it looks really nice as it is.

something i noticed abt many of the ppl who got their rides pimped on that show is they dun know how to maintain their cars. i mean ok so you cant spend on repairs .....at least keep it clean for christ sake...do ppl like that really deserve getting their rides pimped. there are ppl (like myself ) who got old cars but still do a hell of a lot to keep them in some kind of good condition. As for funding something a pimp my ride in sl. how abt sponsors??!!! at least its cheaperand more worth than giving away cherry Qs and marutis like in some of the local competitions.

i had this same prob. was a real pain. spoit 2 batteries in the process. it was the regulator. after a replaced the regulator it was finee.. good luck

Rman - Mine does around 10 without AC. With AC its abt the same as u say. bt it doesnt pull as much. its a 1300 cc orion engine. i bought it for 2. I've shown my alternator prob to lots of mechs, no one has been able to give a permanent solution. thanx for the body kit contacts guys. i went to janitha sometime back, he said he doesnt do custom bodykits anymore. will check out the others. btw around how much would it be.

Hey ppl i'm new here. I own a 1981 mitsubishi mirage Colt. I planned to modify it but i'm abit tight in the wallet. upto now i've done some minor stuff like cutom steering wheel,gear knob, pedals...when i 1st got this baby the bumpers were a wreck so i've put on an L200 bumper on the front an Mach bumper on the rear. Hoping to get a ninja style body kit done but again tight on cash. last time i got a quote fir a boby kit it was abt 60k. and then body kits on old cars is kinda tricky. i've seen some really ugly body kits come out on old cars. Anyone could intro me to some good bodykit guys who you can be sure will do a good job. Also looking for 2nd hand bucket seats. any idea how much and where to find em. No plans on doing anything for performance yet coz the car gets some minor prob once in a while, mainly the alternator belt keeps wearing out. Any ideas on this... thats abt it. new here and looking around. real neat place. cheers!!!
