  1. You can't compare the power of a family sedan with the power of performance oriented Type-R. For a 2L family sedan ( with usual weight) 155HP was never considered as underpowered.
  2. GayanR is right. Road noise in Mazda is quite annoying especially when combined with certain tyres. I switched to Michelin XM2 which is also low rolling resistance type. Though I had to sacrifice the grip a little bit, ride is quiet and comfortable now.
  3. Your comment make sense ( if you delete 'like us' )
  4. Throw all the words you know. No one will be impressed here !
  5. Talking nonsense and beating around bush again... Why should I check? You are the one who saying PCB melt due to overheating. Where is the fire?
  6. The fact is that IGBT and FET are different and 200c can't melt the PCB at all. Before anything can be happened the system will go to fail safe mode according to Toyota!!
  7. Good. Now you are referring to the official document. In that document they never mentioned about fire risk as you have mentioned before. AFAIK they are not FET they are IGBT? IGBT characteristic curve shows that they can withstand the temperature up to 200c Now add this to your TO SHOW list: Show us a melted PCB due to the over heating of IGBT
  8. Degree? From Rahula
  9. Checkout this.. http://adaderana.lk/news.php?nid=24836#comment-1135400175 wherever he goes, kick the bucket and boasting about his 8 years experience in global auto industry, and blah .. Is that called identity crisis?
  10. Refer to the page 23 for specs in http://new-lancer.com/catalog_pdf/14MY_LANCER_EX_G.exp_EN.pdf
  11. Alto 800 achieved a zero-star rating for its adult occupant protection.
  12. Well, jokes aside, I know everyone here knows this.., if you accelerate hard, 'kick down' will be activated and shifting could be delayed or downshifted, giving you more power. This is useful when you need more power such as during overtaking. To quickly shift-up to the next gear for normal driving, you can slowly accelerate to critical point in RPM and push back the gas pedal little bit.
  13. Don't believe agent's comments. Do your own research. Both cars being mainstream Japanese cars, spare parts should be more or less equally available. Besides, unlike your previous Maruti, you would hardly need spare parts other than serviceable parts, at least for the first 5 years . If I'm in the same situation, I would obviously go for the Lancer.
  14. To get a better answer to your question, why don't you open a poll: 'Would you buy a second hand hybrid?' or something like that.

    Tire Pressure

Follow the recommended tyre pressure in the user manual or indicated in the B pillar as Davy said. Those people you mentioned might be hypermiling and trying to get maximum inches per liter.
  16. Are you sure it's brand new? In Singapore, price of Coolpix S6400 is around S$300 ( Rs 30k)
  17. Oh yes. What a finding!! China is approving loans for corrupt, narrow minded Obama administration. right? 'Cos China's biggest investment is in nowhere else other than the USA government bonds amounting to $1.2 trillion. And the best part is that they must know that the USA can't pay it back. While USA is making enemies everywhere including within its allies, China is making partners every where. What I believe is that China has a long term plan extended at least for the next 60 to 70 years. None of us will be able to imagine the scale of it.
  18. Man Furious with BMW M6's Faults and Bad Customer Service
  19. OK, straight to the point. No offence to anyone. OP has modified his Maruti 800 and even has posted details of modifications in other forums. What is the motivation/reason behind the selection of Maruti for the modification? (On a separate note, I read somewhere in the forum that a prominent racing driver is using a Kelisa)
  20. Within 3 rotations (1080 deg) each face of the rotor produce one power stroke. So the actual displacement during 1080 deg rotation is 1.3x3 = 3.9l To compare it with the 4 stroke piston engine where all cylinders complete a power stroke in 720 deg, we need to divide it by 1.5 ( = 1080/720) which result in 3.9/1.5 = 2.6l. So the RMV is correct in this sense. From Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda_Wankel_engine Ironically, road tax for the RX-8 in Singapore is less than that of a corolla. It is purely based on the 1.3l capacity
  21. You can try Autosol. It's a kind of abrasive paste. But unlike Brasso, it does not distort the surface and gives good result. I have used it to polish the chrome panel of an old radio tuner.

    Lancer Ex

There were other Mitsubishis on Proton badge too. I have driven Proton Perdana V6 sometime back in 2003 and it was a awesome car to drive. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Proton_Perdana_(V6)_(first_generation,_second_facelift)_(rear),_Serdang.jpg . I think they are proud of the Proton and don't bother to change the emblems.
  23. Blocking mobile phones with unregistered IMEI is too much control in today's context IMO. Visitors should be able to bring in their mobile phones and use them here during their stay in the country.
  24. To prevent such mistakes, these information should be accessible to public. One should be able to cross-check the data in the system against the ticket he got.
