It will most probably based on the engine capacity, so a 2.4l Toyota Camry will be luxury and a VW Passat 1.4l TSI will not.

It is the revenue licenses not the tax. Still nothing mentioned about import tax

The depreciation of the rupee will result in a minor increase in prices i guess.

depreciation of the rupee might effect for duty. Because Yen rate go up because of this. Calculating import tax based on the valuation. Still not sure.
