Dilantha Malagamuwa created motor racing history on Sunday, becoming the first Sri Lankan ever to win an overseas motor racing championship when he clinched the final two rounds of the 2006 Malaysian Super Car Championships at the Sepang international circuit in Malaysia. Malagamuwa also created history by becoming the first foreigner to win the Malaysian motor racing plum, and achieved this rare feat by clinching the must-win two final races of the series which were held back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday. In December 2004 a BMW assigend to one V*P caught in Tsunami at Yala.The car was washed inland 250m from where it parked.car was very badly damaged from outside but only a new battery was needed to restart it after it was transported to colombo two weeks after the incident. But the third car didn't display the same spirit at "piththala Junction".The car was disabled few meters from the incident.Initially because driver stoped the car as the airbags blocked the visibility.then came the unexpected series of electrical and pneumatic faults.soon found a faulty comuter disabled the main computer.A damaged hydraulic line is blamed for the unexpected pneumatic lock.This caused V*P locked inside and faulty computer prevented a manual release.Now the rest of the fleet is re-programmed for a higher scale attack.A vital hydraulic line is temporary secured and will be re-positioned soon by a German engineering team.So no worries VIPs. some wrong info here machan!

An interesting race after a long time! Shumy drove a champions race.Once being last (18th) of the running cars and managed his way up to fourth!...what a drive from him ...and his overtaking of Kimi during last few laps,is one hell of a move!!! Its not really clear what caused Shumy's left rear puncture and I guess its Fiscy's wing caused it.
