Yeah even i have driven both "ALTO VXI" and Suzuki Alto Jap recon imported one. difference is huge. in VXI gear shifting is horrible. Jap one is far better than that Indian counterpart..
Talking about Modifying Marutis.. (No offense to any Ricer or Any Maruti Owner..) i came across with these.. Maruti 800 cabriolet
At least Big companies could try something new like these.. for a start..
Thanks a lot machan. we fitted a 4DR5 and the vehicle feels bit underpowered in 1st and 2nd. we wanted to match up with the J series final ratios. so that must be the reason.. thanks again.
I'm looking for a Mitsubishi J series Final drive ratio. lately one of my friend swap a 4DR5 Engine to a Land Rover Series 3 (Petrol Model) which is a different Final drive ratio. are there any J series owners in Autolanka?
Just leave those cars alone.. last time saw a modified Cherry QQ and.. it reminds me a "Thoromble Karaththe".. there are models that can beefed up and some are better to leave it that way (Factory Defaults)..
Crazy Life,
Here's the Guidelines on how to install it on your phone. download this file and read How To.txt inside the Zip File. guess your using a S60 phone. if not just let me know.
Hard hat,
Use this Guide and Try Machan. should work i guess.
there's a special workaround to install Garmin xt to mobile. I will post the guidelines next morning, since im out of the home. anyway what is ur phone model?
Already got Google maps machan, but the thing is you need to have a active GPRS /HSDPA connection to load real time Maps all the times. Beauty of Garmin XT is Map is preloaded and it will Synchronize the map according to the GPS coordinates. so you don't need to connect to any GPRS or HSDPA to download maps. by the way google Maps got very detailed maps in major cities.
Nano savers, Magnetic gizmos all are day light robberies to make some quick buck. if those are so effective why not the manufactures themselves add those gadgets to their cars. just get rid of that thing and see if it helps in the first place.
First of all welcome to the forum. Fuel consumption is based on various things on ur car. tire pressure, Driving behavior etc. is it a Auto gear one or a Manual gear?
Nope not from Garmin. i downloaded it from a torrent. if your interested i can send you the file. close to 20MB (Full Map) but you need to have a S60 (Symbian) phone with GPS (or with External Bluetooth GPS Module) to install Garmin XT.
I got a Garmin XT mobile with a Sri Lanka Map on it. (Installed in a Nokia E71) but unfortunately it doesn't have any road names. just the road numbers. but this thing quit handy once it's got lock with GPS satteites. hope that there will be a updated map in the future.
Edit: Here's The File
Exactly.. this is bit easy on Cars equipped with climate controls. let's say that if you set the inside car Temp setting for 25 Celsius, then the compressor get cuts off when the evaporator coil reach that temperature inside the car. this will work other way around if the outside temperature goes lower than 25 celsius (in places like Nuwara eliya) then the Actuator for the Heater coil opened and inside temperature will be balanced. some climate control equipped cars got Solar sensors as well.
First of all if this is happening at Cold start then it's normal and it should return to it's normal RPM values which is around 800~850 when the engine reaches to its normal operating temperature.
Secondly, i think your talking about the ICV (Idle Control Valve). mechs were right in EFI engines Idle speed is controlled by the ICV. and this is connected to the TPS (Throttle positioning sensor) which is connected to the ECU. you need to tune your engine first at a reputable place and see how's it going.
No biggies.. just remove the surrounding panels. and you will be able to access the bulbs to the Dials. those bulbs are available with spare part merchants.
