Manufacturing defects is a common for many make/models.. even in my Toyota (ZZE-122), Chain tensioner O-ring is faulty (Manufacturing defect and separate TSB has been released) and had to replaced. likewise it's a common thing among many vehicles. there are some bad eggs.

Since i was interested in peo tv thing. found out that they (SLT) increase the broadband speed upto 3.5 mbps just for the IPTV. but that doesn't work for ADSL connection used to browse internet. and your house need to around 3.5Km range from the SLT exchange to get maximum performance it seems.

Machan, if you really nervous about this issue. why don't you show this to the agents. they will tell you whether it's normal or not. i think it's wiser and safer to ask advise from agents than others. plus i don't think that they will charge you just to peek into the engine room.

im looking for someone who uses peo tv too.. Hmm.. i strongly suspect this as fungi buildup inside Evaporator coil.. (dust inside the cabin get sucked up inside evap coil with water) try using your heater and blower at maximum (without anyone inside the car of course) for say 10 Min's.. see if it goes away.. or else do the hard way just as the Don said.. if it's corolla 121 with Cabin filter try replace it.. but remember the damn thing cost you around 9k at agents.. i still couldn't found a VIC equalant for that..

For VVT-i engines.. if it's maintained properly there shouldn't be any probs with sludge formations. i usually change oil in my car around 3500k interval. (SL is hot & humid country) and I'm using 15W 40 Mobil oil cos the engine is passing 100K Km mark. no sludge what so ever. herd that when people running on Synthetic oils and long oil changing intervals (Synthetics can run longer) can cause sludge on VVT-i engines. so better stick with Minerals plus shorter oil changing intervals..then you can keep you and your car healthier Yellowish color inside Oil filler cap is normal.

Even i switched to Iridium.. (which can last 100K) guess it's economical on running on Iridium. but you better checked the plugs at least after 25,000 Kms just to be on safe side.

Allion (A18) is below 1800CC mark AFAIK. same goes to my car as well (Corolla Luxel). displacement on the book says 1794CC. which doesn't even belong to semi luxury tax category. Primera in the other hand rated as somewhere around 1838CC which is over the mark. 1800CC cars pretty rare in the market because of the mindset of the people. smaller the engine better fuel economy.. that's what the most people think.

try http://www.toyodiy.com/ it should list your spark plugs part number. brand name should be NGK or Denso.

Make sure Air filters are new or Cleaned. that might affect a lot to the tests.
