thanks Sylve My Honda EK3 got Plastic galss for headlamp and i belive the reflectors also plastic. so i'll not install 80w bulbs. I have seen lots of types of Bright Head light and which is called, HID, Projection bulb....etc. so are they relaible? and will this suit for plastic reflector lamp case..etc sira

Guys After using the Koito White beam for a year’s time. i noticed it is not very good in bad weather. Also if the incoming vehicle light is bright (not like HID) the visibility is poor. Replaced back to original bulbs – 55/65 w osram and it is better after re-wire with direct line via a 2 relay units. The Beam now is bit a yellow If i replace the headlight wattage with 85/100 w (not sure) what could go wrong. Will the Reflector melted or discolour Please advice Sira

Hi all I need to replace clutch plates and some items in my EK3. Checked with agents and price is almost double with Txxxh motors How is the Txxxh motors? they have genuine parts for some reasonable price. are they really genuine please advice me sira

Yes. i agree with balance. but most of wheel alignment saying to aligen the caster, camber, toe after replace the tyres. so as i'm aware those adjusments will not affect dueting the tyre change:) thanks sira

Ruwan From agents it is 8K, but it's Korian. you can try with TechMotors for the Japanese parts. I do not want to start a fire adding best mechanics names on this forum nut .... you can search and find. so if you can afford, go to agents, for a best service. Sira

Ruwan Most of the case will be fixed after the proper engine tune-up. So you must also try with cleaning injectors as well. Not only plugs. if there is a TPS sensor issue, then definitely you will get the engine light.( yellow) alos you must install Honda genuine parts for best performance When you depress the accelerator, you will not get the pulling power ? and jerk. I had similar issue with my Exi 98 and after change the Fuel filter, Injector cleanup and correct timing. Now all gone Check below items Timing – this must be done by the Honda specialist. And check the timing belt position as well Fuel consumption – should be 10-12km in Colombo Colour of the exhaust – silencer – less carbon Try with another ignation distrubuter So the ECU is normally should be ok , if there is no engine light (when you on the ignition the engine light will come and should go off in 3,4 seconds) sira

Hi First check the readiotor cap. i belive the water should not go back to tank , only water will be comming from the tank. there is a small valve in the cap and check that . sira

Dear All My Honda EK3( Exi-98 Brand new ) having clutch issue It is hard than other cars. I have tried same model and 2000 (YOM) and it was very very smooth and easy. i'd say my one is 50% hard than other one So one technician said that pressure plates have been worn off and that is the reason and you need to replace the Clutch plate. Pressure plate and the bearing too. Questions – How true of his comment Agents prices are 17K(pressure plate) 13K Clutch plate, 4k bearing TXXh motors price (Japanese made) 8k 8K 2k How to make sure the Japanese items are really Japanese and not duplicate What could go wrong using Japanese parts than Genuine parts Please let me see your views. and it is really appriciated Sira

Hi Today we checked this properly and the wheel inside the gear box had worn off. so it is shame that honda use Teflon or plastic wheel in side the gear box that will worn off. so the wheel that attached to VSS is metal. this must be other way . Speedometer drive gear should be metal and VSS wheel should be Teflon, i case of issue, it is easy to replace. now we need to open whole gearbox to replace this. sira

Hi all. One my friend got EK3 Exi (2000) and his Speedo meter starts giving issue since few months time. So we have replaced the total meter Board, and VSS (vehicle speed sensor) still same finally one guy takes out the VSS and turn the wheel on VSS and asked us to see the Speedo meter reading. So meter is working when he turns the VSS wheel, if he turns high speed the meter goes high. So he said all meter and VSS are fine and the issue is coming from Gear box. The wheel that attaching the VSS is not working properly .And to fix this total gearbox needs to be disassembled. Is this can be happen Sira

Can somebody advice me the best place to do t the wheel alignment for Honda EK3 As it got rear wheel alignment too. (Most of cars has this but) I did checked my car alignment the place nearby rathnawali balika college in borella. During the reading the current alignment one of technician had to open front 2 reader unit and unplug the cable and plug then the system become noramal. Look that is not correct. However the software that they got is American and it is for left-hand driving cars, are they compatible with right-hand driving cars? Anybody know any good place for especially for Honda? Sira

yes, i hope gear box is fine. but compair with es8 gear box this is much much quicher, no delay when i depress accelator , like rocket

Kalinga Nop this is Brandnew one which made 1998 and dose not have O2 sensor , it got 3 stage catalitic convertoer( i guess) who you prefer to check the ECU sira
