More important is the need for qualified experienced service personnel for your car.Ah CVT ATF juice is light green. Cheers, TT.

Welcome, You have a cvt autobox. what is the milage of your car? The dealers should stock the fluid. - Don't put regular atf in your car TT.
-
You are already seeing the benefits of a better lubrication at work. Will give you the differance between your engine starting to burn oil @ a low milage and a long service life. Cheers! TT.

Check radiator cooling fan. the fan-clutch may need replacing. Has the original factory fitted condensor been removed? The thermostat valve is at the lower rad hose.+ Check the radiator cap. TT. -
Nissan FB 14 Car Shutting down issue while driving
Twin Turbo replied to buddhika1234's question in Electrical problems
Local tune down. There\'s a miscoception in our tecs that an ultra slow idle saves fuel. Check and adjust idle speed with A/c on. -
I've been driving one since 2016. TT.

Nissan FB 14 Car Shutting down issue while driving
Twin Turbo replied to buddhika1234's question in Electrical problems
Maybe a grease momkey tried to tune it and reduced the idle to 350 rpm from the 850rpm recomended for auto box equiped cars. Replace the air filter , check HT leads, replace sp plugs, check ign timimg, clean throttle body, check fuel filter. -
The cvt at this age will be looking at a laid back retirement or will be on life support. there will be minor changes between the two transmissions and their associated wiring+control units. The fact remains that CVT gearboxeas suffer higher rates of failiure when compared to conventional auto boxes. Dont mis understand.I 'm not trying to paint a picture of a Serina here,.The T30 is a good car, just don't get one abused and driven into the ground.
-
At that price range , you'll be getting a used car brought here, used moree and possibly abused, and at best will need a lot of work .So keep a sizesable ammount to get all the faults+neglected maintenance done before using it. Good luck. TT.

It's a good car, but must be maintained properly. The auto box is a CVT.

check the tyre pressure.

Engine idling too slow? -
Running the a/c electrically will kill the charge quickly. not quite what the doc orderd for our climate.

The two cars are poles apart

Engine heat goes up in traffic driving

How's the rad cap? was a compression leak test done? -
Agree with Davy. That's how they give work for auto electritians. by killing alternators. Water and electricity made a bad-combination.... I have never had a prob by keeping my engine bay a little dusty. So keep the high pressure water away, enjoy trouble free motoring. !
-
Short answer to your long question- yes. but rest assured all replacements and cleanups are good for an engine to run efficiently. have you checked the ATF (taking into account your milage) Cheers,.. TT.
-
Good, your o/d is on,..ride to the sun set without fear!
-
You can use a thicker oil but , not recomended for you, and don't get caught on to cunning grease molnkeys who will advise you to overhaul the engine. - the idea being getting the most of what you have for the longest. Cheers, !
-
It's either leaking, or burning -or both. An elevan year old car with un confirmed milage,.. well that says it all, I'd go to say 'if it ain't broken, don't fix it.' Just keep a check of your oil level and drive like normal.
