  1. Apologies for hijacking your thread! Not sure if it's a GT or other. I'll start a thread once I snap photos, just thought I'd post the name here before I forgot!
  2. Oh, Sorry Magnum! No offense intended. (It's also ironic that I'm calling a 90's car ancient when my own sled is from the 80s and based on a design that debuted in 1979!)
  3. If anyone's interested, the 'vintage' junked car in my neighbourhood looks a lot like a MGB GT. I'll snap some photos tomorrow.
  4. Best wishes of the season to all AL members. A bit off topic, but I thought I'd share a bit of Toyota history with this link- http://www.speedhunters.com/2009/02/car_feature_gt_gt_vintage_rally_te72_corolla/ Gee, Toyota, whatever happened to you?!
  5. Merry Christmas to you too, Komi! You've got a great bunch of presents there!
  6. Ancient Nissan Bluebird! RIGHT?
  7. Wow, never seen that before! (Not even on the internet!)
  8. Looks like a Nissan Cube or something...
  9. Hi Sampath, Thanks for the recommendation. Please send me the details of your contact through a PM if time permits. Regards.
  10. For those 'rush hour' Mondays!
  11. Kavvz; yes I should. The rear quarter panel on the left side also has some slight damage so I'm going to address them both together. I should also fix those lens covers before the turn indicator blows up!
  12. Here's the finished result. Still not happy but I'll tackle this again later Surrounding black paint lifted off with the tape the second time Also cleaned and polished the numberplate lamps- All installed- Closeup of the paint loss (under the "O" for instance)- A final glimpse- Brighter illumination from the numberplate lamps- Some A**hole broke my driver's side mirror while it was parked in Bambalapitiya (opposite the MC)- I was thinking of buying another locally, but if that proves difficult, will get this fixed. It was fixed once by my mechanic but it's missing a lot of parts on the base. That's it for now, thanks for viewing!
  13. Wheels are a dead giveaway, but I'll let someone else guess!
  14. My Photobucket account won't let me log in today so Schiffer (or someone else) can have my turn.
  15. Bluebird 510?
  16. Gorgeous gorgeous car! RE the Gloria van; I've never seen them here, but it would be awesome if one miraculously surfaced in the classifieds. I was convinced that we didn't have KP60 starlets here but one popped up last week.
  17. Wow, you're good! It's actually a 1967 Nissan Gloria A30 van. Here she is- Badd A$$! All yours, Davy!
  18. Thanks! Here's a relatively tough one-
  19. Hmmm...looks like a LHD car. Surely it can't be the LHD VW beetle I've seen in Rathmalana?
  20. Dayum! just-missed-by-the-kes gas! Looks like a Jag XK8 to me as well.
  21. Rust ruins the party, huh?! I live near the sea and we've battled it for years!
  22. LOLs, it's alright though. Restoration threads like yours don't come up often!

Nice photo, Esdeez! This was at Katukurunda, isn't it?
  24. Alright! My decal is the maximum load capacity decal you see on Japanese commercial vehicles. It's all made in Photoshop, just needed a place
  25. Excellent stuff, Davy! It seems we like the same style of cars! (vintage no-nonsense Japanese wagons)
