Dude, if you wanted to flash at people the easier option would have been to go commando with a Rs.200 sarong from the Nugegoda pavement.

You sound like you were the first person ever who got a scholarship. There are tons of people who get such scholarships but don't show it off, because to them, they have greater achievements in life than that. Anyway, no-one here likes you, so why don't you just get lost. You'll never get that pat on the back that you yearn so badly.

Dude, that's not exactly a bargain and its some random brand. Not worth the risk/uncertainty in my opinion. Buy it locally, you'll save all the customs/tax hassle but more importantly, should something go wrong a local shop is easier to contact for warranty claims than some online shop in Korea.

This "a member requested me to join AL", "some members begged and pleaded for me to return from self exile", "one member requested me to do this" etc etc is all lame ass excuses. So please tell us who made this request to you. And I'm still waiting for a video of a prius doing 300km/h.

There's some crazy shit way of making a flash memory look larger than it is. As soon as you start using it it will say 1GB (oe wathever fake value). But once you exceed it's actual capacity (say 128MB) everything beyond 128 gets corrupted. And you have no choice but to reformat the card. And when you reformat it, it starts showing the actual capacity of 128MB. This happened to me when I bought a flash mp3 player online and was suckered. Since then I prefer to buy storage devices locally, so that I can go get my money back if something gets messed up. edit: The class 4 class 10 issue doesnt matter for these cameras. Class 4 is fast enough to write 1080p 30fps or 720p 60fps without any problem. I use a class 4 myself.

Yep the Fitness Test is a joke! My 4DR5 jeep (which is a 28 Sri Registration) requires a fitness test. When I go for the Fitness Test, I simply walk in and ask for it. The guy proceeds to issue the cert with no regard to the actual vehicle. Occasionally, he asks where the vehicle is and I say its parked outside. Not once in the past decade has he actually looked at the vehicle. In fact a couple of times I went in another vehicle and claimed the vehicle was right outside.

Toyota Prius, Honda Fit/ Vezel Recall Information
Watchman replied to osaka_dude's topic in General Automotive
geez.. whats this new fetish going around.. people seem to get hardons reading hybrid recall stories.. what happened good old porno magazines... -
@Niranjan: The fitness cert is for any vehicle registered as a lorry. I think its required for busses too.
-
Btw Nisha, I hope you realize that in cases such as the photo you've shown, this is more a cosmetic modification than an actual safety device. Having stripped a 4DR5 down to the chassis, I can say that this wont do much cos none of the mounting points are strong enough. The front of this cage is mounted onto the sidestep, which is merely a metal step that is bolted to the body (not chassis) with 3 screws. The mid and rear points appear to be bolted onto the sheet-metal of the body. And there's no structural reinforcements in those parts of the 'bin'. It's not the same as fitting a roll-cage on a car, because on a car, the entire body shell happens to be the chassis, hence much stronger. In fact I think this would cause mo harm to the vehicle/passengers than protect them. In the case of simply toppling over when off roading instead of the force being distributed throughout the canvas-cage, door and panel, the rollcage will take the force and apply it on those 3 soft spots potentially tearing the metal, and the rigidity of the cage would mean the body panel on the side that didnt even make contact will get deformed. In case of a high speed accident/rolling, the cage will just rip right off like a tin can, and won't do much good.

The restriction is only on the FRONT. The crash/bull bar is made illegal as it could cause greater harm to a pedestrian who could get run over by the vehicle.

#1 Do you honestly believe that you have "more" technical knowledge if you think that a prius can reach 300km/h? Since you're so awesome at sharing videos, can you share one of a prius doing 300kmph? I would love to see that! The IQ of the general prius fanatic is truly hilarious. #2. VVTi and I are two people FYI. And please tell us who these well-wishers are they keep asking idiots to join/rejoin the forum when their value addition is clearly zero. And yeah, the mods are my puppets. In fact I get Hon.Joint Mod to give me handjobs too so that I dont have to waste my time m@sterb@ting. -
Toyota Prius, Honda Fit/ Vezel Recall Information

Aney tho wage gon nambek!!! . he's the dumbest fcuking 'engineer' I've seen in a while. 7 years in the industry and he doesn't have the knowledge let alone the common sense to realize that 300kmph is freakishly fast for any car let alone an econo box. Oh man I cant wait... in 43 years we'll have our 2nd Sylvi. -
Toyota Prius, Honda Fit/ Vezel Recall Information

#1. My question is; what was the purpose of mentioning that you were inside a high security building? How did it benefit this conversation or help prove your point? #2. As you say even a cleaning lady can go into the building, so how are you more significant than the cleaning lady? -
The players' return would probably be nothing short of 2009's post war celebrations.

So if you going into the Toyota building didnt give you any special knowledge on the topic why did you even bother mentioning it? Was there a ganrandiya slithering on the top secret building's teak-wood conference table? chhaaaattteeerrrr -
I was able to give it a proper testing, so here's the final verdict. Price (including shipping): USD59.00 Build Quality: 8/10. The Camera has a metal body, so you dont have to worry about dropping it and breaking it. But the mounts that come with the camera are very average plastics. Not the heavy duty plastics that might be better, considering the abuse these would go through. It hasn't broken yet, but I feel that should something break one day it would be one of the plastic clips on the mounts. Image quality: 9/10. I give it 9 only because it's not very good in the night. But as you can see its crystal clear during the day at 720p or 1080p. Ease of use: 7/10. Operating it is easy; press button 1 to turn on, press button 2 to start recording, long press button 2 to stop recording and long press button 1 to turn it off. Very easy to start/stop even when on the move, because it vibrates (like a mobile phone) when in start/stop, hence you dont have to see the light to make sure it's switched on. What I didn't like is that due to the fact that there's no view finder it will take a couple of trial&error cycles till you get the angles just right depending on your helmet angle and eye-level. Once you get it right, you might want to 'mark' the correct position so that the next time you attach it you know exactly how it should go on. Battery life 9/10: It runs about 120 minutes on a single charge, which is pretty good considering how small the whole unit is. This works out to about 10gb of recording. So ideally a 16GB card should do. I'm not sure how it would handle an overloaded card. I guess it could either stop recording or overwrite the earlier recordings. Value for money: 10/10. You can't ask for more from a USD59 Camera. The original camera that this is copied from is about USD250. It has a 170 degree angle of view as opposed to the 120 on this. But the build quality of the mountings, camera etc are identical and so is the battery life. The more popular GoPros sell beween USD 250 and 480 based on the model IIRC. So yeah, you get a lot for what you spend. Verdict: This sweet toy can be your perfect camera if ur into biking, cycling car-racing, where you can't stop to pull out a camcorder or phone to capture the moment. I was worried that the vibrations on the trail would give a choppy video, but it didnt. If you take a look at my sample video, it's fairly stable even on the really bumpy stretches. In fact the recording understates how bumpy the ride is. The major vibrations in the highway sections is due to the entire helmet being moving around at those speeds (90-110 range). I'm tempted to buy a 2nd camera so that I can capture multiple angles. It got a proper field test on my last trail ride. Except for cutting/cropping there has been no video/image enhancement done on the footage. http://vimeo.com/91234855

Hey Askhole! Can't you comprehend what the others are telling you? The Aqua will cost you MORE in the next 10 years than your current car And don't drag your kid's sad story into this; it's just a pathetic excuse! You just want a flashy car; end of story. You can try argue it however way you want but "your kid" will have less money at the end of the day. If you just want a pat on your back for being noble and selfless goto your wife. You came here for objective advice, you were given it, but you're still here being stubborn for no reason.

for the benefit of all AutoLanka users, can you guys talk in English

actually comparing how different the weave is on the fleft fender and right fender, It might even be hydrographics.. Cos no real CF or even vinyl weave would stretch like it has on the right fender.
-
Yep looks like vinyl to me too, cos AFAIK CF snaps; it doesn's bend Well, just money may buy the car, but it doesn't buy class or taste... but then it will buy you some vinyl too.
