  1. In original JDM units generally navigation does not work/ TV different system/ Radio only up to 90 Mhz / Sometimes clock cannot be adjusted and instructions are in Japanese. Sometimes only thing that works is DVD/CD and the reverse camera and of cause half radio. Generally these top end units cost more when factory fitted. Best is to get the vehicle here and fix a good quality setup, depending on once budget sky is the limit. From Chinese crap with all the bells and whistles to a good brand most probably with better sound than the original.
  2. CRZ
  3. Axio in 2011 was around Rs. 4.2-4.5 Mn. (2007-2008 Model) how much can you get now Rs. 3.2 - 3.4 Mn. Allion in 2011 was around Rs. 5.0-5.5 Mn. (2007-2008 Model) how much can you get now Rs. 3.8 - 4.2 Mn. Do your maths
  4. Bro I don’t think you had a bad deal by losing 500k, people who brought cars 3-4 years back lost whether they were hybrid or not. I know of a friend who lost a over million on a Allion Finally used car market in SL is becoming sensible, days of using a car for few years and selling at a profit is long gone and I hope it will remain same. I do agree with you on the fact that hybrid are not worth unless you clock high milage
  5. At the numbers they are getting them down, i wonder what will happen to the 2nd hand value in couple of years
  6. Number of 260 s listed below Rs. 3.8 Mn. even on this site
  7. Close friend has one does 9 -10 kmpl in city and 12-18 kmpl outstation long distance
  8. Bro Pleople buy old cars when they cant afford to buy newer ones. Go for the 260, get a 1.8 which is better and more economical because it is DVVTi You should be able to fetch one for below Rs. 4.0 Mn.
  9. Cost between Rs. 9.5-10.5 Mn. depending on the exchange rate and cost of the permit
  10. McLaren P1
  11. This is compared to similar vehicles (Honda Civic/ Lancer/ Mazda 3) 1. Driving comfortabiltiy - Good 2. Performance - Good 3. fuel consumption - Average 8-9 city 10-16 out 4. maintenance cost - Only service 5. re-saleabilty - Can sell at right price 6. general known defects of 141 2007/2008 model - None
  12. I ve been inside one basically a Honda Fit with bit more ground clearance. Might as well buy the new Fit if you don’t need the two extra cm of ground clearance. Somehow this extra ground clearance did not translate into typical SUV elevated driving position, actually the driving position brought back memories of my former Suzuki Swift 2007 Fit will be Rs. 1-1.5 Mn. less to buy will have better performance, handling and economy.
  13. Thanks iRage for the info actually my BIL is looking at T32, Diesel was promised in June 2014, most probably delivery will be later may be end of the year. I think the new one is following in line with the CRV and gone softer so might as well go for the CRV, but he wants a diesel.
  14. Thanks Pericles, my bro in law is considering one. Apparently agents will be offering the new model from June 2014
  15. Anyone with experience with the new x-trail diesel About reliability, kmpl

    Permit Transfer

It is only for the poormans' permit.
  17. Ranger might be more reliable as it is built in Thailand
  18. From the look sof it your valve seals are gone, STP will be a temporary solution
  19. CRV RD1-3 or an early RD4 might be within your budget. Dont forget the vehicle prices have come down significantly
  20. Importers normally hide the second smart key cos they have a nasty habit of going missing en-route.
  21. Go for a Swift ZC71S (JDM) You can get a good 2007-2008 for that price. Easy and fun to drive, reasonably new model so you will not need repairs.

    Honda Vezel

Had a look at one yesterday. Some sellers try to compare this with the CRV claiming that this is equally spacious “FASE”. It may share the same wheel base but that is it. Physical size equals Juke/ Terrios/ new IST. Interior space equals FIT (new one) with bit more boot space. When you sit in the front seat does not feel spacious (but roomy enough) you don’t have the SUV driving position (more car like) Rear seat has enough leg room but the seat is not tall enough for adults. It is a nice looking car if you need a nice urban runabout with bit more ground clearance than the typical JDM (reminded me of the old Swift I let go few months back). Not for anybody looking for a SUV or a soft-roader I was told the price will be in the range of Rs. 4.9-5.4 depending on the grade.
  23. Used both CE100 and SB14 (diesel) each car 5 years over 100,000 km CE 100 no only the A/C was repaired SB 14 had several issues including a suspension overhaul I would recommend the AE100 over the FB 14 Besides it is a well-known fact that the AE100 is the best Corolla to date in terms of built quality and reliability.
  24. There is no reason why the CR-Z can’t share the new Fit drive train With total power of nearly 140 PS (110 engine + 30 i Drive) should be able the deliver better performance than the current car. And ofcause the 7 speed duel cluch insted of the CVT
