well need some more information to actually give u a good answer.. as a mazda owner i will tell u to go for the mazda, and in ur conditaion even if there is work to be done, u still ahve 2 laks in hand to do it.. with the mirage u have exausted all ur money.. thats what i can suggest right at the outset.. without knowing the model properely..

well the spark plug gap for kr42 is 1.1 for a 1.8l engine.. couldnt find an exact spark plug number though..

usually its in ur manual... if u got one.. otherwise the net should have it...

you are right.. original setups have it.. i had to take it off to fit my cone filter..

i doubt thats the wastegate.. as i cant see where its fitted to.. and also typicall the wastegate doesnt go threre.

i suspect a vaccum leak too.. if everything is checked as u say.. even the tiniest one can cause this as the engine is only 800.. better check for those as well..

ok.... i have been driving an astina for over 6 years now.. for me this radiator issue is a bit of a mystery... however its a seriouous problem.. and i have the 1989 one,, which is the oldest out of the lot.. as far as i know the astina never came with a digital meter.. which means someone has messed around with it... go to mazna motors pepliyana junction.. he knows what he is doing.. before u go to the agents.. i dont recomend the agents for the astina.. since it is a JDM car.. they dont have a clue... keep the agents as the last resort.. for this DOHC engine its very hard to get beyond 9 KM a liter even with very moderte driving.. mine has clocked over 300,000 now.. and its still packs a punch.. its all about how u take care of it.. but i feel someone has messed with ur car... the parts to look out for its the air flow sensor.. i have the meter type and u have the senso type which is far better i belive.... as with old cars, the grounding should be bad on urs as well.. when u get these sorted out.. first put a good grounding kit to the car as well.. a meter board should be easlily obtained. as the car is in par with the old 323's.. first go to mazna and see.. if u have any trouble drop me a call... 0777335057

welll it was hard to make a clear prediction. sometimes it would do a little more, and sometimes a little less.. but overall there was a slight increase for me.. but i drive hard most of the time.. so not the best person to talk about fuel economy.

this is very similar to what i boight.. its the 57i seriries. it only costed me somewhere around 9000 for the whole kit around 4 years ago. but i bought it of a guy who does K&N he was in kirulapone. now he has given it to motorcade and they are very expensive. he said it was not making profit for him.. the hose is flexible aluminum. although u think its rubber.. its now.. ite a fleixible hose.. the horse fetches cold air for the filter from underneath the car.. ur normail intake hose remains the same.. its a 30 minute job.. however i advise u to wrap your ruber hose with mcfoil or any other substance to keep the hose cool... i did this to mine. and pretty good results.. other wise the rubber hose gets very hot.. i evern wrapped my sensor....
