  1. I was not sure if I could make it for G2G with the X coz it was a tough call to get the X out by Friday. I absolutely did my best with the clearing people and confirmed to Madz only around 5pm on Friday about that it will be out late Friday evening. I guess some of you guys knew that it was on the road before the G2G. Nuwan in the B4 was right next to me at the car wash but didn’t know him till Sat. evening. Anyways I am glad that all went well and it was a great pleasure for me to be with all you guys
  2. Surprise or no surprise you should give b’day cake to all AL family tomorrow. Sadly I will miss to join the fun but will collect my share
  3. All the best Dilesh
  4. All the best on your B' day!!
  5. All the best! See you soon in SL
  6. Kelisa is a fantastic car for the price you pay for a brand new car in that range. Looks decent enough and if I may mention about its durability, I did 100,000km ++ in a 2003 Kelisa without any issues. It never let me down This was from the first batch that came in as brand new to SL. Since then I went for the second few months ago again a brand new car. Both cars were GXi (5 speed manual versions). I would say Kelisa is the best non-Japanese brand new car in that segment you could buy in the past (coz it will be no more as Perodua stopped production of it) The new car is called Viva with the same engine spec of 1,000cc 3 cylinder and should be on our roads by end April
  7. Good luck and all the best Grand Civic!
  8. Thank you to all you guys for the wishes which is appreciated very much. Sorry for the late response due to long week-end As for AL G2G looking forward to it and will be there for sure
  9. Sorry for the late wishes but better late than never...... All the best wishes on your Birthday and the year ahead of you!!
  10. Yes Upulwan Serasinghe in 1600 DOHC Civic got the fastest time. He was 1:29secs and Nishan 1:32secs. It was brilliant run by him in a very tight course.
  11. Thank you Miniace, Arc Angel and VWvortex for your wishes!
  12. My best wishes and congratulations to you Dilantha…… we are really proud of your achievements!!
  13. Weight!!
  14. Thank you guys once again for your wishes……
  15. Thank you guys for your wishes!!
  16. Many happy returns of the day Peri!!
  17. Thank you all you guys for the wishes before and after Gajaba Super Cross!! KLM, I am 100% with you on what you said, but we as competitors have no choice of these gravel mass start races as they are included in the local Championships and at the end of the season our sponsors want us to win Championships. Therefore I believe this type of racing will be seen in the years to come with continues active participation from drivers inspite of the expensive damages for the cars. Also if you may see gravel circuits are the events that pull most of the crowds and not tarmac. May be due where it is located the people from the area come to see with the forces selling tickets months before the races…. However such type of racing is not seen much in other parts of the world but for some reason it is popular here in SL . What would really put a driver and machine combination into real test on gravel is a speed rally like what MRA conducts here with absolutely clear visibility (not to mention the dogs and cows on the road ) Hope we see more of such speed rallies in the years to come. Cheers!
  18. Thank you guys for all the wishes and yes it is raining there and supposed to be very muddy and slippery. Under these circumstances one needs to be very cautious not to skid off the track at the speeds the SL-GT cars run
  19. Thank you MINIACE!
  20. Thanks Grand Civic for including me in….. have been a Mitsu owner for past 11 years and they are great cars…. Also include Charith (Evo 9 RS)
  21. Thank you for every one of you who contributed for this thread after the races. It was in 1997 when I drove the Evo IV RS and that was my first race ever at Katu. Qualified 2nd on the grid with Dilantha at pole, Aravinda 3rd and Mr. Casim Wahab 4th. However I was not allowed to start at grid 2 as it was considered that I as a novice could be a danger for other drivers, but went on to win race by just half a car length with CW 2nd, AP 3rd and DM 4th (in his Porsche 911 RS). If I could remember correctly there were 12-13 on the grid which included Starlets & Civics.
  22. I am up for the challenge as always……
  23. Thank you MINIACE!!
  24. Grand Civic Unlike in closed circuit racing, in rallies you don’t get sand bags or for that matter any other additional safety measures, but just the lamp posts and trees beside the road . The only thing the organizers would do is to tape the byroads to guide the crews not to take a wrong turn. As Lalithster said, if you miss a corner better be prepared with wings
