well then its either the choice for a better hard disk or very minute processing power. I will suggest you do some research on hard drive problems before making the choice as i have heard 60Gb's being more prone to problems than 40Gb's. ryte now i am kind of stuck wth a new asus motherboard for my desktop. the problems in that are said to be 'normal' by the main agent here. LOL. So i think u do some research on the particular model's before buying one.

hi, the one u are looking at is a compaq presario series but currently compaq is owned by HP so its ok. my laptop is a compaq presario m2000 series (m2215) wth 1.4Ghz celeron. bought is from a popular PC dealer in SL and it did come wth only MS-DOS. The price (one yr ago) was 94,000/=. They tld that they can put win xp but i took the machine wthout an OS. it came wth 256MB RAM, 40GB hard, internal wireless card, dvd/cd-rw, 64MB shared VGA... just within a week the display got a problem and so got them to replace the laptop. After that the second one has no prob so far. about 3 months back added a 512MB ram (total 768MB) cos the system was running quite slow and now its ok. got a vga increase also to 128MB shared. I use the machine mostly for internet, chat wth voice, MS Office ,c programming, downloading and games as well. It is on for 10-15 hours per day and is fine. no heating issues though temp of cpu is 50-60C and hard drive is 45-48C. (mine can even handle nfs most wanted ) i think a celeron is quite ok as ur not lookin into use it for demanding applications.

Well Bearshare is also like limewire and I dont use them...I know friends who use those p2p software have got different problems... I use BitComet and get torrent files and download the file through it... thanks about adware and stuff...I will keep a look out for them. Depends on the site you get the torrent. Most of the time for example its jus the .avi file thats in the torrent and so no other softwares come with it. anywayz thanks...

torrent is not limewire, kazaa...so less risk of virus...plus...i know many ppl using torrents (not limewire and that kind of applications) and even i hav used torrents for few months and not yet gt any virus probs... well anywayz cant say hehe...

to Monamonu, hey bro, try using Xilisoft Audio converter and the xilisoft video converter for conversions. I hav the audio converter and also did crack it to make it a full version. Seems pretty good...cos many conversions are allowed and also can change stereo/mono settings. bye.

Trivia for The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) Volkswagen donated 4 prototype R32's and 4 Touran minivans to fulfill its pledge with Universal to plug each other's products. As a result, R32's are in the movie. Toyo donated 4000 tires for the movie. Roughly half were used. Volk Racing donated 170 wheels as well. 600 Asian extras were used during the LA filming days for the street scenes. The Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX, an AWD (all wheel drive) car, was converted to RWD in order to drift properly. Same thing was done with 2 of the VW R32's (which are also AWD). The VeilSide RX-7 driven by "Hans" used to be a special show car built by VeilSide and crowned "Best of Show 2005" at Tokyo Auto Salon, reportedly worth $150000. Just the custom leather interior reported cost $20000. Universal got it for $50000, and the crew promptly destroyed both the interior and exterior by repainting both (with spray-paint). One of the cars never before seen on American TV or Film is the Toyota Chaser, a Camry-sized sedan that has Lexus SC300's engine. Obviously, it was never exported to the US, and previously was only seen on US soil in special drift demo events. One of the Mustangs (out of 5) was actually converted to use a Nissan Skyline GT-R engine and transmission, just as the storyline says happened. However, that process took considerably more than just one evening as it did in the movie. The movie crew went to Japan and bought as many JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) vehicles as they needed. JDM vehicles have the steering wheel on the right, and thus these cars will never be street legal, and will likely be destroyed after the completion of the film. Got the Ram today...installed it without any probs. Now got 768MB of total RAM Also though it is said that the VGA is upto 64MB shared, it increased to 128MB.

Hey Don, Its ok calling me machan...i am a guy...no worries... Thanks a lot for the info... Yes i am tryin to upgrade the present memory which is a 256MB by adding another 512MB module. True gotto take extreme care when dealing with a laptop cos its way too expensive than a desktop. I am used to assembling desktop's and this is my 1st laptop. I got the manual from the internet and also got the Ram type from the compaq website. So that is why I thought of doing the upgrade myself. The RAM i found for 30 pounds is not really branded and also my dad found from PC house that a Kingston Ram for the same specs is 11000/= SLR. So I did a search on the kingston site and found the correct RAM for my laptop. It comes upto nearly 42 pounds with delivery and VAT. As its about 8000+ SLR, I placed the order now and i would be getting it this Friday. Actually after placing the order only i read the thread...I too felt that it wud be better to go for a brand like Kingston though its a bit expensive.
