  1. Our facelift CR27 (Lotto) Townace is on 14" rims running Goodyear GT3 165R14 tires. I've done over 30,000kms on them and they've been pretty good so far. I did install KYB gas shocks in the rear though. Your biggest concern would be to make sure the wheel offset isn't too great, otherwise two things will happen: 1) The sliding door will rub against the rear wheel. 2) In wet road conditions, the front wheels kick up a nasty spray when you take corners (mud flaps will be useless), and if you happen to be driving with the rear windows open your passengers in the first row won't like it. This effect also makes it much harder to keep the body clean, both front and rear.
  2. Got a 4 year old battery in my Van which I do not remember the name of. That shows just how maintenance free it has been But it's on its last legs now, I'll be replacing it next month.
  3. A relative of mine had a Hyundai Stellar which had a similar gear pattern, and the gearbox was a 4 speed. Reverse was engaged in the same way too. If it's a 4 speed that's the pattern you'll have to stick to. The gear lever centers on 1st and 2nd, as opposed to 3rd and 4th on a regular 5 speed.
  4. And you thought Hummers were cool
  5. machan, Sumiya, use the image tags with that url, so that the picture appears inside the post. And that looks like a Honda Prelude from the 80's. Edit: Also worth of interest noting that this was the first production car to come with 4 wheel steering.
  6. GT is what I miss the most on the XBOX 360, thank god for cheap locally made alcohol to take the pain away.
  7. That's right, Nissan Laurel C34.
  8. YOM is 2006, no idea on the price I'm afraid.
  9. Yes RD28 engine, and not a Cedric, but a similar large RWD saloon.
  10. Sorry machan, the Pathfinder didn't come with this engine. Plus this engine bay is not of an SUV.
  11. To come back on topic, I've been looking at some of the latest Suzuki Every vans, and they are _extremely_ well spec'd out. I mean climate control, power window on the sliding door(s), power sliding door(s), rear seat cup holders. Those are MPV specs, and if the ride is as sweet, then one would be hard pressed not to buy one.
  12. Well the picture is clear enough figure out what the make and model of the engine is, and I'll say that while it's more common to find this engine in an SUV (in SL), the engine bay pictured is not of one. Edit: Also I'm assuming using google.com is allowed, because figuring out keyword combos and scouring hundreds of images is where the fun lies IMHO. A veritable treasure hunt if you will.
  13. You're right, it is. I completely forgot about that.
  14. All UAE rear license plates (at least the ones I've seen) have a replaceable tag which denotes the expiration date of the vehicles registration. When you renew the registration, you replace the existing sticker with the new one supplied. I remember in the 80s and early 90s this used to be a small plastic disc with embossed numbers inserted into a holder on the license plate.
  15. Very few examples of this particular version of the model in SL, I've probably seen two on the road.
  16. That's an FJ20ET, most probably from a Skyline DR30.
  17. I'm stumped :< I thought maybe a Honda City...
  18. I never use the high beams since I got HIDs fitted, but I do understand where you're coming from. Even with the old halogens I would switch to dipped lights the moment I spotted an oncoming vehicle. Sadly most drivers in SL have very little road etiquette. I often do what MRF mentions in his 1st point, it's enough to make anyone who loves their vehicle panic a little.
  19. I too heard about this during lunch today. I, for one, am glad they've implemented this. I've come across so many vehicles (pretty sure they're non govt) which have tinted windows with just a cut out for the door mirrors. The fact that they need to have them highlights reduced visibility. One can only wonder how they're able to cope with intersections at dusk, when its dark yet most people haven't switched on their lights. And it only gets worse at night.
  20. I'm hoping PEO TV starts offering this channel too.
  21. That is the correct answer. Your turn.
  22. Anyway, back to our regular scheduled programming. I've seen this vehicle with my own four eyes here in SL.
  23. Here's Wayne and Garth. Wayne is on the left. You might recognize him as Austin Powers, International Man of Mystery. And this is their car. An AMC Pacer.
  24. Since no one came forward... It's the PAO, made by Nissan's Pike Peak factory. It's one of three limited edition models built on the K10 chassis in the late 80's/early 90's (the other two being the Figaro and BE-1). Both the Figaro and PAO are retro looking cars, the former being quite popular in the UK. The BE-1 looks like a prototype of the K11 body. Toyota attempted something similar with the Will series, examples of all three can be occasionally seen in SL. If Wayne and Garth were Japanese, they'd be driving one of these.
  25. Never seen one of these in SL, but it is by far the only small car I will ever consider buying.
