  1. I am not a Evo geek, but from what I see pic A is the correct one. Reason being it has the Brembo brakes, and according to the spec the door mirrors and door handles are body coloured. Also on the second picture the rear spoiler seems to be incorrect, where the TME had an adjustable rear wing. You had me on the front as many pictures show different front ends then I found out that the left and right side have a different design on the front bumper (asymmetric). The TME edition was more like an Evo 6.5 ( a better version ) and only the GSR version from Japan came with the Passion Red paintwork, 17" alloys, Brembo brakes and the luxury items like climate control AC etc etc. The RS didnt have any of that and was like a ready to rally car with 15" alloys and all.
  2. Spot on, I had the contrast roof in the specific colour so that anyone will pick up the fact that it is not your average DS3 but the DS3 racing. Yes the local one is white and the first owner of the vehicle was one of the sons of Rockland. No idea where it is now. It was a manual if I remember correctly. The successor to the Xsara and the C4 which bought Loeb his last WRC crown.
  3. Ok then here goes, I know of one example of this in Sri Lanka and recently there was a video of it circulating on social media on a page dedicated for car spotting. It was imported way back in 2011/12 period I think. The original owner was the son of a famous distillery owner. This model was made for homologation purposes, but was very successful.
  4. One of the nicest looking cars to come from the land of the rising sun. To the cosmos and beyond.
  5. Citroen DS it is. @matroska here's the car
  6. Have you seen the flying taxi car of the future? It was what the 2000's were supposed to be with flying cars.
  7. Ok then here you go, if you are a fan of back to the future will get this.
  8. Temperatures would have risen at the Italian Automobile Factory in Turin when they came up with this.
  9. Am sure you will get full marks. Want to go ahead with the next one?
  10. There was something I wanted to post last week but I want to first make sure it is the model that I thought it was first. So for a change something easier. A model with a 10 year life in its market.
  11. I guessed right it was a funeral coach, if not where do we find these cars?
  12. Should be a Ford with a Victorian Crown
  13. 2024 Registration books that I have seen has always been pink unless they have a different colour for motorbikes
  14. Tax counter at the RMV, I saw somewhere and was told by another person that sometimes the RMV will ask for originals even if the tax printout is present, maybe it is with regard to the older vehicles.
  15. If you handed over 7 papers you should ask them. Better to get a RMV tax printout and keep for future as when it comes to next owner they will ask for it.
  16. Actually from what I know the scheme that was in place "Blue Permit" is no more. If you want the best place to check is with the Department of Import Export Control. They were the ones who issued the blue permit those days. (it entailed you to import your own vehicle which you used overseas for a period of time without being bound by the restrictions on the 2 year limit but it should be below 10 years). You had to pay all the duties and taxes on the vehicle which was based on the value of the vehicle at the time at a depreciated value according to the table present at customs. But given the fact that the duty is now based on the engine capacity / motor power in EV sometimes it would be better off to sell the car there and buy a vehicle here if its a high capacity vehicle.
  17. Looks like a Cortina Mk3 but the deletion of the B pillar makes me think.
  18. There was a pristine one for sale with very low mileage supposedly imported for a minister back then.
  19. @iRage why dont you go ahead and post since you gave the name.
  20. How they fell from the Stratos, the Delta (intergale) and the other models from the Greek alphabet (Thema, Beta). For me its unique but doesnt have that style of the older models.
  21. Has to be a stylish Italian company now owned by a big group that incorporates so many brands from across the globe. The brand is very popular amongst the rally fans. The model derives from the 20th letter of the Greek alphabet.
  22. Problem with them is that they are trying to push numbers into the world, and like Tesla may be forgoing testing and quality control. Even for a small market like us with so many restrictions they were adamant of having a minimum order quantity of 50 from each model. They say that the time spent to do documentation for a few units is too much whereas the can do thousands of cars at one time within the same time frame.
  23. Harlequin edition. Some one take my place
  24. Peoples car popularized by a certain dictator and a game played on horse back, very like the colour scheme on that car.
  25. Similar to what happened to the Chinese real estate boom which went south with half built apartments and forgotten estates. Agree on the number of makes and models coming out of China. (I dont think in another 10 years time we wont be able to recognize a vehicle brand from the badge as they would have changed a lot) But I would say the Chinese are coming and the rest of the automotive world has to up their game or they will be trampled. Even the phone makers have got into car manufacture which apple and Samsung couldnt do(Xiaomi is nice and very techy but it has other production related issues). China is anyway overly dependent on their main manufacturers SAIC, BAIC, BYD, Dongfeng and Changan. They have so many umbrella brands and I suspect them to be sharing tech with each other for the industry to strive so much as sometimes the battery tech / spec and motor specs are very similar.
