  1. Ive been looking at a couple of laptops but im still undecided on what to get. Acer has a cool laptop for 100,000 but is Acer a good brand? I need a laptop thats fast, got lots of memory, has to be reliable and has to be 100000 or less. Any suggestions?
  2. since we're under the topic of cvt i was just wondering whats the difference between tiptronic and cvt? My XG has a tiptronic gearbox engineered by porsche and its a blast to use. Is cvt relatively the same?
  3. Yes sorry when I phoned the retard he didnt mention the VAT. But I mean still regardless why buy a used registered car when you can buy one for about 3 million cheaper? Added to that some idiot will go and buy it for that price. New patrol's came brand new at 4 million 6 years ago. I saw that ad where the guy wanted 10 million. Absoloutely insane. Even with high inflation, people still tend to buy a lot of expensive cars leaving the middle class struggling to buy road worthy vehicles.
  4. Has anyone noticed the whacko car prices these days? I have found 2003 registered monteros going for 9 million, but in a reputed car sales I found out that a unregistered 2003 montero costs 5.8 million. People tend to create their own prices and everyone else follows suit. Ive also noticed that the 1986 patrol seems to be going at 3 million these days even though the going rate was about 1.7 million 2 years ago, and 6 lakhs 4 years ago. i would like to know what everyone's views are on this.
  5. I doubt the santa fe will depreciate even further since your buying second hand. Hyundai is a fast growing company and im sure people will start to get over cars like the excel. I seriously think you should go for the santafe. Ive had 4 korean cars, and no complaints.
  6. Haha yeah forgot about that. Can you email it to me then at [email protected] I can probably make it today before any rally starts
  7. Can you tell me the name of this place and where it is exactly. I'm in nugegoda, so I can go there now.
  8. Does anyone know where i can get a really good big cover for my car. Right now its exposed to nature and i have to wash it everyday even when i dont drive it. Plus i dont want bird droppings to spoil the paint. Thanks
  9. Yeah i saw that too
  10. I think the Hyundai santa fe is a good buy. It looks good, handles ok, quite fun to drive, practical, and has some good options. Dont worry about fuel consumption. I have a XG which is a 3.0 L and it does about 7 km/l which is not bad for a big car. For 2.7m you should be able to get a 2002 model.

  12. I'm not too sure of the drill here but how do I pay for an advertisement once I've sent it along with the pictures. Is there a way to pay online? Ive sent an email to [email protected] but I didn't get a reply. I sent my ad in a couple of weeks ago. Can someone please tell me what to do.
  13. Leather will definetely warm up your ass if its been left in the sun But if you have tinted windows theres no problem
  14. I personally prefer leather. Its really comfortable. There are no tears in the seats or anything like that. Its just a little faded with a couple of wrinkles and light cracks here n there. I guess I better not use the soap and water method as I wouldnt want the seat adjustments to short out. How much would a leather treatment kit cost?
  15. To be honest I don't think anyone who owns a car should convert to gas unless you are being forced to do so with a company car. Ive heard many sad stories. If you think you're trying to save money on petrol think again. Expect your spark plugs to melt now and then because the engine usually overheats. Performance is cut down by 20%, and the car just feels sluggish. And the reason I know all of this because a friend had to have this done by the company he worked in for his sonata. The car used to stall each time he pressed the button to change to gas if he was not over 3000rpm.And he had to go up n down to the gas station because of the fuel tank being so small. Its really not worth it. But now that you've done it try getting it checked up by la*ghs. The engine does get damaged sometimes if the conversion is not done properly. make sure the tubes in the gas cylinder are always open fully, so that the gas can flow easily to the engine.

  17. Ive heard that washing the leather with warm water, and soap helps it alot. Maybe i can wash it, then dry it and then apply the conditioner.

If it was an M5 wouldnt it have a badge on the front grille?
  19. Hey guys Does anyone know how to restore faded, wrinkled leather back to its original condition? Will a simple leather polish work?
  20. Thanks a lot Devinda_Z n Ash. It was quite easy to find. The guy took only about 10 min to do the thing. He did a good job with it, and quite cheap too.
  21. Thanks a lot guys. Ill go and check the place out now.
  22. Do you know the name of this place?
  23. Thanks for the speedy reply memphis. If you know of any places in colombo, it would be better because i want to get it done immediately.
  24. Some idiot swerved on the wrong side of the road and knocked my side mirror. The glass cracked, but other than that its ok. Do you guys know a good place where I can get it replaced and how much it'll cost?
  25. Yes you should be able to get one for about 1.550m unregistered, 2003 hatchback auto LS. That should get you, leather, full option, and abs. Try some shops down in dutugemenu street, i remember seeing quite a few rios.
