  1. Hey guys this is kinda OT, but what are the best roads in Sri Lanka to drive fast? Top speed ive gone as a passenger is 145km/h in an optima. definetely cant keep up with any of the top speeds you guys have achieved
  2. Hey. Are you sure about those figures? I mean thats quite good for a leganza. My optima's got a 2 litre engine, and 137 bhp, but its an auto so i guess performance is cut there to about 9.5 s to 100km/h. I think the leganza's an affordable luxurious car, and im happy to see more korean car owners in the forum
  3. Some people just have too much of money. Whats up with the revolving doors? That car is absolutely pointless...

    Subaru Fartbus

    People do stupid stuff. sigh
  5. I think it came first as an option on the s-class. I remember seeing it on top gear. Pretty advanced stuff, but with the lexus ls430 it actually steers for you. Its mainly used for parking, as i guess taking a chance on the road, would be kinda risky.
  6. I think there will be a price hike on cars next year in january. not too sure though
  7. Anyone know how much this costs? It looks identical to the hilux. Im not a huge fan of the looks, its rather bland.
  8. Whats the best strategic game that will work on a nvidia 32mb?
  9. Looks way better than the previous generation. Body looks sorta like an X5/XC90
  10. Well I reconfirmed the worst gas mileage on the optima with my dad, turns out it was 4.5km/l. Im not too sure about the details but the engine was heating up way too much, and i think excess petrol was being used up.Well its all fixed now and on good days it does about 7km/l- 9km/l. The Rio's really good on fuel, and has always got great mileage on a tank of petrol so no problems there.
  11. Im really praying lbn comes back soon. My tv has not been put on for ages. Cant bare to watch local tv anymore.
  12. Well if you want bad gas mileage, the enzo does 3.2km/l , the murcielago 3.7 km/l, and the BMW M5 does 4.9km/l beating the range rover and hummer.
  13. Good info!! My friend got so frustrated he just uses petrol now and gas for long distances. Ill tell him to get it checked out again and get the nozze replaced. I think he got the conversion done at L**ghs.
  14. Car: 2002 Kia Optima 2.0l -auto Fuel Consumption: 5km/l Reason: problem with engine Car: 2002 Kia Rio hatch - auto Fuel Consumption: 11 km/l Reason: Used occasionally...
  15. Umm well the good thing is that you save tons of cash. Bad points are that it takes up boot space, but since your friend has a station wagon it wouldnt matter. The tank does have a smaller capacity than the petrol tank, so expect frequent visits to fill it up again. The performance of the car is also cut down by 20% I know a friend who has a sonata that runs on gas. It tends to stall most of the time, and feels rather heavy when accelerating. His a/c belts got burnt out too, and his engine check light appears always after he converted to gas. Japanese vehicles might adjust easier to gas without any problems, so i guess converting to gas might be a wise choice.
  16. at that price, its unbeatable. I say go for it. There are tons of shops dealing with korean spare parts, so you dont have to worry about anything.
  17. Its quite a good car. Re-con you might be able to get it for about 2.1m, seconda hand about 1.9m. Will this be a company car or will you be buying it? Luxury wise the car is awesome. Its got rear storage compartments in the armrest cupholders, wood trim, projection headlamps, a rheostat, digital odometer, etc. Hyundai has placed close attention to it, and you will even find small details that are quite cool, like a light around the ignition, a small green light around the key hole outside, etc. The only major option that it doesnt have is dual airbags and ABS. The recon hyundais never came with safety options. You might be able to find one with abs, but no airbags. Only the cars bought from the dealer have airbags. It'll be a good buy if its a company car, as you get quite a large car at a cheap price. For personal use i mean you could even get an accord advertised in the classifieds with airbags electric seats, except though with the triptronic, and its a little older. Then theres also the option of a 1999 cefiro which you could get for 1.9m second hand, Electric seats, 10 speakers, but it is a V6, and so will be a killer on petrol. If you want korean, consider the kia optima too. Its based on the same hyundai platform, same mileage and performance. Its also got the same options, except for the triptronic. But it does have abs and a airbag. My dad has one and it has been a brilliant car, large and fast. Looks real good too. Finding one might be rare. I think there are maximum about 10 2001- 2002 kia optimas here.

    Nissan 300zx

There was a 1996 Targa for sale, with red leather interior for sale some time ago. I think he wanted 2.2 million for it.
  19. Do you know what he does? The guy must be hella rich.
  20. Anyone seen that car around? I saw it today, and a couple of times before. One word for it is gorgeous. ANyone have any idea who the owner is?
  21. From what i know korean cars are really good. The optima looks real good. Had it for more than a year, and not one single problem. Its okay on fuel, quite average. The interior can get a little squeky sometimes but after a few touch ups its ok. The cars pretty fast done about 150km/h, and for 2 million is pretty worth it. Theres no better car you can get for the money. It rivals the camry so its about the same size. A little wider i think. The rio you can get for about 1.3 million. Its a good run about, but the interior might not be the best. I guess it might take people some time to get use to korean cars, but once you own one theres not that much of a difference between japanese cars.
  22. dude where did you get that fact from? the kia rio does 13 km/l. the optima about 10. quite average compared wit other cars. well they do depriciate in price which is why you will be able to get a good buy on a recon car.
  23. Yeah its pretty gruesome. There showing clips on tv. Probably might even have curfew
  24. SO far 3 people have died including a small kid. The bodies in the van have been turned to charcoal. Apparently some guy threw the bomb and then ran. http://www.lankabusinessonline.com/fullsto...;SEARCH_TERM=33
