  2. oh yes! very german!
  3. does anyone know how a normal engine is cast? i've heard ferrari uses one mould per engine. sounds very expensive to me.
  4. so i guess i saved myself from inevitable nothingness by procrastinating as usual IMO investing on stocks is pointless in sl. but then again has anyone here invested on touchwood or similar establishments? so far i've never heard anything good about them. for example most plots of trees have died thanks to some infection or something anyone else had any better experience?
  5. dialog was pretty profitable and i think it still is. when i tried to invest on them like 3 or 4 years ago a several thousand people beat me to it
  6. my advice is go for an fd. i'm sure there's some bank (or 2) offering upto 20% on fixed deposits. i'm not sure which one this is. its definitely not some scam. cos we never lost any money on them. i'll post some more info soon. however i'm not sure whether you can deposit your money in foreign currency though. also you might have to pay some very unreasonable taxes on them even if you can.
  7. i hate to admit it. but i think its events like these that shows we are all in the same boat. and i don't even know if its worth elaborating on this anymore cos those habits will always be in our blood. and xXx, what we shouldn't is that sadly the 'gallery' audience is the majority in sl. and this is the sort of thing that appeals to that crowd. so as long as there are people to approve and cheer such actions our people will always drag themselves to such low levels ever so easily and also its the same audience which will be responsible for electing the next leader of our country. and i won't be suprised if it doesn't turn out to be a timely decision.
  8. i certainly agree with you. its exactly that sort of mentality thats brought them such discredit in front of other nations.
  9. thats one reason. but mostly the 2nd hand market is dominated by japanese cars that are better built, performs better, has an ample supply of spares and also mechanics who are very familiar with those makes. in that aspect korean cars really struggle. they only make sense when buying new cos you get more car for less money. but selling them is another matter.
  10. i think its high time we all learnt a bit of tamil
  11. good stuff mate! now we can add a little more colour to our posts
  12. because its a hyundai
  13. to add some serenity here's some non political videos i came across while i was procrastinating (got exams coming up ). someone who never grew old enough to buy something with an engine and fwd drifting. no! not your average ricer in a civic ruining everybody's day. this seems rather more technical, even though it does involve a civic
  14. good grief! i dont even know what to call these people
  15. would you care to remind us what it was xXx? all i can remember from it is some famous person falling or something
  16. good stuff mate! you almost convinced me to start biking the terrain n the views were fab. and i'm sure no other wheeled contraption will get you through them.
  17. after making that post i was thinking why not bring down some toyo r888s. not sure how they compare with the nittos but as street legal slicks they are probably the grippiest tyres available for that sort of money. treadwear may be an issue. but since we rarely drive over 70 for long periods of time i bet these tyres would last quite a reasonable amount of time.
  18. thanks mate! so i believe its the usual shipping routine then
  19. i swear i was going a damn sight faster than that when i fell off the bed once when i was a kid ok maybe i didnt hit those speeds but my head sure did swell up like i did
  20. i was gonna switch to toyo r1rs this time cos they are much cheaper than the potenza re040s and gIIIs. and seem to offer more or less the same performance. even i tried to find the local agents online but it wasn't listed. so can someone please tell me if they are still in business? if not is it possible to personally import tyres to sl? i think i read somewhere that there's a law saying you can't.
  21. if you ignore the relatively smooth traffic flow it still makes a very inefficient system to get from point to point. but after what you said it makes a whole lot more sense now. because its one way its easier to close the roads when a politico is popping to the shops for a pint of milk
  22. i second that statement on his chin spoiler
  23. get yourself a honda goldwing. i'm sure there's at least one in sl
  24. oh no! (in a york accent)
