My view – She looks great compared to some of the other concepts – The styling is fabulous and the front is simply amassing

There is a plc. In Papiliyana who specializes in Mazda, He has all the parts too ..... Not too sure on the cost of the suspensions are correct overall maintence is just as normal as the Toyota I would say as it's in the same time frames

I have called the Traffic police HQ and they confirmed that front both passenger & driver CAN NOT be tinted . Rear windows – NO ISSUES and can be 100% if required. @ riddle - U know u can Install a sun screen that can be pulled up when needed for the rear window – cost something like 2000/-frm Darly road and it really helps with cutting down sunlight and also keeping the visibility - Got the same problem

Ahhhh so you’re the type that hogs the road in the middle lane doing a cool 20 kmph on rush hour simply because you want to salve fuel - I constantly go over 2000rpm simply because I need to overtake guys like you………………… Mind you your interpretation of a good driver does not necessity mean not revving over 2000 Sorry if I sound retarded -

Thanks a lote mate the Repair Manuals are great

Adding to what NashLeo has put – Yes that plc. Can be recommended and work is good IMHO. Would advice you not to go hunting for CHEAP joints - Since you have mentioned that the oils have not been changed best you go for a complete check up done including a engine diagnosis at least for the first time and ensure all issues are sorted. There are CHEAP joints that have absolutely no clue of what they are doing and you would end up hating & bitching about the car and the brand. They have shell oil there and it’s a good oil to use and they have it in bulk so the cost is less. All filters and even gear oil is available. The Plc. Is not cheap but work is good. The corrosion would be something that they would direct it to another garage but I’ve not done anything with them so cannot comment on the work.

A bit OT but on the subject of belts …. One of my friends farther met with an accident (Thanks god he’s safe) in the night on the Dehiwala bridge and was not wearing a seatbelt. Anyway both airbags have engaged and he was slightly injured due to the bags inflating So the theory that the airbags don’t engage if you are not wearing the seat belt may not be entirely correct ……. And YES we did do this belt discussion earlier

Thanks all for your input’s planning to do the same also I’m going to stop less closer to the pump so he is compelled to use the other one . I called CPC and I must say they were very helpful – gave me a direct number to call if the shed guys refused to pump a full tank from the 1st pump. Also wanted me to observe if they hold the handle of the pump when filling as they can do a slow (stop /start) thing.

Hi folks, I generally use the Kalubowila/Kohuwala CEPTCO shed and I pump 95. However I feel the shed pumps are spooked My tank hold 55 L and I had little over ¼ tank left and I was still able to pump over 35 L. When ever I ask for full tank they use the right side pump and for some reason that pump always seems to give a irregular reading . On my last visit I asked him to put full tank and he picked up that pump whilst the other pump was actually closer to the tank. Then said hold it and asked him to put 4000/- (30L) . He then entered 4000/- and started to pump but my tank was not full even with 30L (Remember my tank hold only 55L and there was already over 15L in the tank. 1> Does any 1 know how I can make a complain to CPC – contact numbers or any other authority ? 2> Has anyone else had the same experience from the shed ? I have been visiting this shed for years since I live in that area and this has started happening only after they did up the whole place recently

Some Info On The Honda City V Tech Please
mazdaspeed replied to mazdaspeed's topic in HONDA SRI LANKA
Thnaks a lot that figure is fine with me -
Hi People Wanted to get some insight on the Honda CITY V tech version 2005 YOM (Thailand version – wouldn’t dare touch anything Indian ) Now hold your hoses – NO I’m not migrating to Honda –This is for my mother (they got a car at their office for sale and we were planning to get a unregister after we sold the Wingroad but the prices are still on the high side for a 1.5C cars (e.g. Mazda, Toyota Belta ) So back to the requirement : How is the car ? What’s the knob /liver/ switch which says 7 speed ???? Is there an issue with the gear oil / changing ( Some one said to stay away as it has to be changed every 10,000km. is it true ??? Average price Any other useful info. I’m not too concerned about how much it does – anything in the range of 8-10 Km/per L would be ok Thanks in advance

Ok –:-) so ur the person who is known to my cousin working at Aivssawela FTZ- I’ve been hunting around for the same info for him – but no luck asked my mechanic but he too cannot remember off hand and need to check with a car owner – lets hope u get some luck

I own a 323 Bj5P -1.6cc and I get about 8.8 to 9.5 running in Colombo in heavy traffic naturally with AC. But then again my driving style is crap and I often accelerate over 2000 rmp to overtake etc…. so if you drive like a sane person you should be able to get 10per Km or a tab bit more even. – Don’t expect anything over that. Outstations gives somewhere around 13 but that’s with regular shifting and very high rpm’s It’s going to be difficult to get a 1.5 in good condition for that price me think. Maybe a 1998/99 model but that too is hard. U should be able to get one for 1.4
-
My fellow mates in the forum seem to think you are born with a silver spoon in your mouth….. But I for one beg to differ … more like a u were born with a flag pole up the rear
-
can get the RPM unit from motorcade, a basic one should be in the range of between 2-3000/- Can get it fixed at any garage who knows what they are doing.
-
Drop me a visit & Ill tell u -Looks like there no difference between u & the 3 wheelers -
-
I'm in total agreement on this SOB's seems better

Ahhh I finally managed to get through to city traffic and spoke to a female officer who was in the know. Driver side & passenger side (Front) CAN NOT have ANY TINT…… Rear windows – No issues and can have any shade / grade Front windscreen – 1/5 of it can be tinted (Dark) basically a small strip A also asked what I should do if a copper pulls me over for the rear windows : Said “ there is a gazette and that the IGP has issues the same guidelines and if they have a confusion for them to call city traffic “ Not the exact words but in the same line

Hi Wijesinghe, I partly agree with you but must confess I too am an offender - not by habit but merely adjusting to the environment of barbaric and moronic drivers ..... as they say " if you cant beat them - Join them" and YES I got a very LOUD horn thanks to my good buddy who donated it when migrating........ I certainly am not shy of using it ……………… 1. I always stand keep horning if see a 3 wheeler with a driver on my left side - they got a nasty habit of suddenly waking up & putting the DAM thing to the middle of the road and then look to see if there is another car coming 2. Please don't compare our situation with other countries- U have proper driving lessons and U need to PROVE your driving skills to get a license, Not to mention driving ethic, proper roads, proper public transport etc........ - Hence u really don’t need a horn.

congrats VVTI shall check her out next time we meet for sure
