  1. I heard its under 3Mil
  2. I think Kush answered the GL vs GLX question. I dnt knw abt GLS though I have a CS1 2002 manual which does 12-13 kmpl in the city. I have no Complaints so far. only issue I faced was when the clutch pomp gave up. but dnt worry abt the parts they are available for cheep if you know where to look. Maintanance wise it is easy to maintain. The market price is around 1.5 mn to 1.8mn depending on the condition of the car.
  3. I spoke to a friend of mind at I*C and he said generally the Octane 95 and I*C extream are safe. and the C*C is planing to recall all the distributed fuel from each filling station. This contraversial stock of fuel was a rejected batch of fuel due to not being processed accordingly at the country which it was brought down. On the quontrary to what u have mentioned, my friend said I*C is not improting fuel directly, all the suppleirs are getting thier fuel from C*C including I*C. I*C only import diesel directly and that is why they are selling diesel at a higher price.
  4. You mean iphone WAS the coolest
  5. Hi Trinity, It was exciting to hear that your CS1 only does 13-14 kmpl on long distance. I have a EFI CS1 which does 12-13 kmpl in City and does 15-16 kmpl outstation. Just thought of sharing. Have you tried cleaning the carb and tuning it? It should do better on fuel from what I heard. Regards
  6. Galaxy S II is the phone to beat nowadays. I use a Galaxy S and I cant believe what the improved processor power will be capable of doing in the S II. I can't wait to get my hands on one of these
  7. Oh please don't covert it to Auto. Very hard to find these manuals
  8. It will be a Pakistan vs Sri Lanka final.
  9. We are running the Seylan enclosed tent for the 3rd consecuting year. Guys are planing on bringing down some chear leaders this time. Cant wait till friday
  10. This time only 2 days for me
  11. So any predictions for this years match? Royal side looks good with Bhanuka coming in.
  12. Yeah there is one near BMICH at the Royal - Thomian big match car park
  13. Neither value nor money?
  14. Why dont you consider a 2001 - 2003 Lancer? Which is a much newer car for the same price. I saw there are few for sale last few days. I use one which does easily 12-13km on fuel and good to drive also. Try and get ur hands on a CS2 or CS3 (1.5L or 1.6L) which are properly prowered. Even CS1 which is 1.3L has good pulling power and good on fuel.
  15. Suggesting price ranges Below 1 Mn 1 Mn to 2 Mn 2 Mn to 3 Mn 3 Mn to 4 Mn Above 4 Mn On a second thought, we are talking abt value for money not whether we have money to buy the car or not.
  16. Hi All, What would be the best value for money vehicle one can buy in the market now? This is regardless of whether it is brand new or recon or second hand. Let us have a general discussion on this topic without any restrictions and see what the outcome is. I know the phrase "value for money" is mentioned everywhere in this forum but let us get all that discussion and opinion on to one thread. In my opinion a well maintained second hand "BMW E36 320d" the best value for money vehicle in the market at the moment Share your thoughts guys Thanks
  17. Go for a 5 forward manual one mate. You wont regret the if you do so. I have driven or owned the last 3 generations of the Starlets. It is a great little car to have (specially if it s Manual).
  18. 60k is abit too much for te doors. I was able to get all 4 doors with pannels for my lancer for 30k few weeks ago. I have a contact who bring down spares from Sigapore. But i dnt knw if he could help you with the doors but give it a try. PM me if you want the contact details Cheers
  19. The current price in the market is about SLR 140,000 - 150,000 (USD 1250 - 1340) in SL. But few of my frinds had ordered the phone from Singapore online istore and had got it delivered to a known place in Singapore and had picked it up from there. The phone comes fully unlocked and ready to be used. This method had costed them SLR 72,000 - 75,000 (USD 645-670)
  20. 20 apps are the built in apps. In the android market most of the apps are free. You need a google account to log in to the "Android Market". I am not very sure of the apple mechanism. I think you can search it on internet. We still cannot download payed apps from the market in Sri Lanka yet. But I download most of my apps via torrents. PM me if you want further details.
  21. Desire HD seems to be a very good model. They seems to have bridged most of the gaps it initially had with the Galaxy S. The camera and data classes are impressive. I am not too sure of the sounds though cos I have read few reviews claiming the audio play back is not as good as expected. Battery life is also a concern Disires (both) haven't had answers for yet But again HTC's new LCD screen hasn't lived up to its expectations and to the standared of the Super AMOLED. Even with the 4.3 inch screen I do not knw if Desire screen will match the screen of Galaxy S. On the plus side as GihanFX has mentioned it has to be the biggest screen, the fastest processor, the latest software on the block. Apart from the above, the pricing of HTC in SL is a concern compaired to Galaxy S. Would like to know any 1st hand comments
  22. Hi, I am on Android. It s a Galaxy S (probably the best phone in the market now). Still no froyo for me but waiting for Samsung to release it again. 16 GB internal memory is a great asset and the 4 inch Super Amoled screen is a one of the best features in the phone. The speed and the reaction time of the phone is amazing. I hv handled iphone 4 also (only apps), seems to be a cool and a hardy phone. If I was give the option of choosing from these 2 phones (for free)I would definitly go for the Galaxy S. bcos it is the superior phone of the 2 in most of the aspects. For me it is the best option at the current market prices in SL. Read the reviews and check the specs in gsmareana and other sites.
  23. If you are going for a CS, go for a 1500cc
  24. According to my knowladge CS1 is a 1300cc car. CS2 is 1500cc and CS3 is above 1500cc. CS1 is bit underpowered compaired to the other 2 models. This is evidant in upcountry roads. For colombo running its pretty economical. I have a Manual tranny EFI CS1 which easily does 12.5 km per litre in Colombo traffic. I have acheived 16 km/l outstation on Long distance (non hilly) and 13.5 km/l on a Riverstan trip. CS2 is more balanced car. Afriend of mind had one. That was more fuel efficient than mine. But that was a carb model. But I dnt knw abt the EFI modle of CS2. I have not had an issue with finding spares. PM me if you want the places. If you are looking for an automatic, make sure it was imported by the agents. Because to my knowladge there were few issues with the automatic Cedia which was imported reconditioned.
  25. Count me in too Lancer CS1
