ae 100 in my openion. i used to drive a one and it was a lovely car. so relaible, got a decent look. and parts were freely availbale. now i drive a honda but still i love that ae100. and it took me only few hours to sell it. if you are interested, try to find a SE limited goldbadge year 1995. even auto transmition is good.

can you name any nissan with multiple drive modes in cvt? for my information.

quite true as far as nissans are concerned. thats why honda has 3 diffrent drive modes in cvt named economy drive and sport to suit the scenario. in the sport mode you can easily hit 5000rpm within few seconds.

agree with you, only if not maintaned properly. but dont you think any auto gearbox will cause problems if not properly maintained?

yes. vi comes with vtec+cvt. the best ever combination.

ya usually vtec comes with cvt. but non vtecs too come with cvt. i came across a blue color english numberd one in kohuwala. (its a lev)

better acceleration+ no jerks when chainging gears. smoother than any auto gear box. better final drive than any manual or auto gearbox.

VI is the JDM and vti is the export version of the same. (mainly to singapore) vti comes with leather seats and all 4 discs in some cars.

cvt will onlybecome problamatic due to bad usage. othere than that even a 10 to 12 year old car with cvt would run smooth. and cvt is much more fun to drive. and better preformance too.

95-96 AT 192 would be at a price range of 10.5 to 12.5 roughly. auto ones tend to have a slightly higher value. 1.5 CC has the 5A-FE engine shared by AE 100. 95-98 ek3 would cost 11.5 to 15 depending on the condition, modifications and Vtec or not.

thats the stock size for ek3. i replaced mine recently. GTx- 8400, roadstone -8400 , hankook (korea)- 9900 , brdgestone (turanza i guess) 10200(indonesia). this is all i checked.

mate...i remember you were trying to troubleshoot your exixting gearbox. what happend to that? if you are buying a new one better take your mechanic also.

there was a blue color one on al site. its lev not vtec. but it has cvt and steering controls. car looks ok from outside. its in kohuwala.

ya you are correct. so why dont you get a status report and see?

retarct mirrior,shutters and dashboard meter panels are minor things to deal with. even the paint you can do something. but the car shouldnt jerk when shifting from economy to sports. check for any vibrations in the gear box in stop start driving on hill climbs. and check the service records. or you can go agents or upul for a complete check up. but after all, its a joy to ride.

that price is correct ...i replaced it in my 110 year ago at a cost of 17k. i think it shares the same rack with 212.
