Also someday If you want to sell it, it is most likely to hold its value and even appreciate provided you restore her well. End of the day its got the ol' diesel grunt too..

I do not know the technique, but a gentlemen from the large scale importer in dematagoda told me that the gauge cluster and the head unit both can be swapped to english for just LKR 5000, but they do not share the contact unless you purchase the car from them; If you can try to convince them to share their guy! the chap advertised on the other website quotes LKR 20000 for installing English in the ONLY the gauge cluster. He claims there is not method to work on the head unit. I'd say wait till things become a bit more mainstream..

The deal was most of the SDcards were stolen during transport or demonstration of the vehicles, The right move would be to insist for the SD card or else not purchase the car, Or else you'll have to swap the Head unit with a unit that has the card.

Sharing a recent experience, Went to see a Nissan X-trail recently, looked mint outside, a minor degree wear inside, however looked mechanically sound too, pulled like a train, there was an on off idle miss though On switching it on, I noticed that along with the engine check and several other warning indicators were lit, but have been neatly covered up with a kind of a tint like adhesive tape, the texture matched 100% to the fascia of the meter board itself, almost invisible at several glances. The dead giveaway was that the perspex cover of the gauge cluster was cracked and had a hole in it, allowing me to pull the tape out. Which had lifted from one end lightly showing a small shimmer from the indicators hidden behind it. By looking at the sheer amount of warnings and indicators lit on that thing, and further inspection of the undercarriage, we ruled out it had been in a major degree front end collision and had been poorly patched up by some joint, All in all, I would be in some garage trying to fix that X-trail even at this moment if I hadn't spotted that light.

Well to add to this, after reading the plethora of EV threads, and bit of car sale mongering, I am considering,a EV, probably a leaf Just adding an average chap's view here Yes as Crosswind mentioned, it is selfish of us to load our burdened electricity system, and there is a marginal duty that we can do. I totally agree. Btw I am a healthcare professional and have no clue about advanced A/C electricity matters (level- Noob). So this is biased towards the car rather Why I consider an EV? frankly, I have no concern for the bragged fuel economy, as simply I do not / never owned a vehicle which did >10kmpl, so fuel economy is not my concern, so the next unicorn Environmental awareness? Not exactly, I had a few petrol SUVs along the line, so I guess that answers that question too. Well to answer my own question; Being a petrolhead, I consider an EV as I am keen to experience this new dimension of motoring enthusiasm, after all EVs pull really well, have a low center of gravity if designed, lot of potential to flex into the various aspects of motoring, of-course the prime target of motoring is ignored as of now, travelling long distances, Well true range does have a long way to go unless you can afford a Tesla. I'd have to sell my house for that Well the next appealing thing about the leaf at the given moment is, the price, yes As it will not be replacing my current vehicle, It would be testing waters, Then again I do not want to lose my investment, so the outcome; only time will tell, but as of now, the so called "market eka" is a solid NO But due to the tax schemes these "different" vehicles are sold at rather approachable prices, compared to other vehicles in the market (of-course they have an engine) Well in most countries the story is different as EVs are considered rather expensive as non-EV counterparts are competitively priced. So my bottom line is, its a fascinating side to motoring, this EV craze, and it is a marginally affordable exercise to someone who can afford a hybrid or higher / or 2 average 2010s automobiles, after-all its going to nourish your "thel hinganna gland", if you have one that is So that makes me a Tree hating, selfish, potential electricity hog innit'. Why not do something to that exhaust tip, It looks rather out of place with the car, something with a little bit of diameter and about 2cm of visible chrome would be nice, not a fart cannon please with minimum restriction of course.
