Although not an expert, living with an Eg for 3years now and went through this senario just 2months after the purchase. In my case got blown gasket due to waterpump faliure and my makabas mechanic at that time just replaced the waterpump alone and said gasket was ok. Ultimately had to replace the gasket. I think You have to find a proper mechanic and get a proper diagnosis. Its better to put a new timing belt and check the condition of waterpump and radiator . Can recommend Indika @ kolonnawa as few of our Honda guys go there .

Had similar sort of issue and corrected by repairing the masterpump using a rebuilt kit. According to my mechanic its due to worn out rubber seals which fails to hold the pressure and expand as they supposed to do. Does braking after paddling have an improvement on braking power? If so, its most probably the masterpump!

There is OBD 2 based software in google playstore called Torqe. It needs obd 2 blutooth transmitter to work and it will cost around 15$. It will give you live data with lot of options to choose.

Considering the engine capacity , I also think that there is no issue with your car. Even 1.5l cars will strugle on hills if you havent change gears properly. By the way whats the 1.2l swift model?.

Machan Eg (5th gen civics) are Hondas one of the earlier models to use light weight stuff and weights around 1000kg. Its a sub compact sedan, so not that lengthy. Does around 12 with spirited driving. Major issue with it is, its really hard to find a non rapped one. -
Thanks mate!. Need to get a rough idea about the cost before proceeding . Is he a importer or conversion specialist? .
-
Planing to go next saturday. I'll post them after that!

Sad to hear that. I know the pain in such a case as you are so desperately want it now rather than one month time!

Are you sure about the cost thing. I know b16 is the way to go,but I thought it will be a costly swap as axles , trany and may be new mounts needed. Planning to visit car smile auto to check their prices.

I thought s40 has shorter gear ratio. Anyway need to meet komi and his contacts for futher information.
-
My major worry is the fuel system. It seems like my one too have return line as well, but may need to change the tank. Positive paret is any d series tranys are (s20/s40) are compatible , so i can use my s20 box and axels.

Ah, thats even better. Need bit of your guidance regarding a engine swap to my eg. My biggest worry is that Im having a single carb motor and online data also limited about this as D15B3 is not that common. What do you think?.
-
Yes machan!. I thought D16z6 not available locally as its a USDM/ europe based one.
-
Is it a SiR one with B16A or a converted one.what I know is 1.6l ones have DOHC ,B series motor with 160 BHP and its available as SiR . You can easily recognize B series motor by its size. If you havent seen one, just go through komis project R thread and you will see his B18 which has a similar shape.Other one is a SOHC , D15B motor with 130 BHP.In these you can see the Vtec in the top of the valve cover. There is another varient as Vtec-E with 90 odd BHP and I think it has vtec-e printed on valve cover.( Please correct me if Im wrong)

Good work mate!. Hope these will do the job for you. If not just send the wiper size and I'll buy a pair of those wipers that I've described . Those frameless wipers are far better than locally available normal Bosch .

Yes machan you cant find a better stress relief thing than this!. Lets have chat about SiR conversion and love to see your R as well, may be after the exam?
-
Indeed peri. Also he is reading for MS part 1 exam these days and exam is in January!. Wish you all the best for both events mate!. You have induced some dysplasia in my brain as well regarding a SIR conversion which Ive been dreaming for a while now. Cant wait to see the final outcome !
