Mate, sellers can issue any type of receipts these days to convince a buyer! .If you can cross check it with toyota lanka or if you know the guy before, then dont change. When i bought mine, there was a similar receipt( not from a agent though) but i felt it was bit weird and changed the engine oil and found out that engine oil hasnt changed for ages. It all depaends on the type of the ex-owner!

Machan what do you mean by radiator heat valve? Is it the thermostat or some different thing?

I think best thing is to use stock ones( radiator,cap,etc..) when it comes to replace critical parts. Sometimes second opinion from a another mechanic would help!

Mate , buy a new cap which is recomended in your car service manual(visit t#ch motors or agents for a stock one). Does your car having lot of white smoke recently?

If you are so desperet for a car, rent a one for a short perioud. Then you will realize what we are telling you throught. Going via a bus and having your own car is two different stories mate!. i too,curious to know your age!

I had a similar issue in my Eg, specialy when Ac is on and found to be blocked radiator. As harshan mentioned check the simple things first and get hold of a good mechanic for expert help. In these sort of issues you hav to be extra careful when dealing with mechanics, because i almost replaced the headgasket for above issue.

Yes mate, he came to my mind instantly. If i remember right he was in a hurry to fix a beat barrel without even doin the basic maintainence for 6months after purchasing the vehicle.Its great to here that no one was fataly injured.

I gave up the hunt for a sir one and put a set of glow gauge faces and waiting for lexan glow needles.For me now its better than sir .

single carbs too hv 220kmh gauge . i too serched for sir gauge but no luck. Vtec-E and dual carbs(Mx) came with 180km gauges and most of the places hav that gauge. machan first remove it and apply some contact cleaner,sometime it will do the job for u. Most of the gauges i came a cross had pritty high mileage. so best bet would be to swap individual gauges to your existing one(its a easy diy). i cant remember the name . its next to wijerama peoples bank.
