  1. Bugger was suspiciously off AL for some time. No wonder! I hope his watch hasn't ended...
  2. I guess. I meant any Alfa. There are a couple of guiliettas here. I've seen a red one and I think there's a silver one too. I've seen a brera-faced sedan on 18" alloys driven by a smoking hot chick. Made me reasses my life, that.
  3. what about an alfa? i mean completely leave the status quo? what are your requirements from the car? the orthodox, or unorthodox?
  4. here's the gearbox. forward and reverse pretty straightforward... finished a few days ago. will post pics soon
  5. so guess who went and bit the bullet! our dear old watchman just lost his bachelor's degree and watchgirl gained her masters! congrats, you old hat! hope you two make lots of little watch-babies together! may it be a long and happy one!
  6. yeah this guy is a gem. cleaned my teg headlights when they looked like opaque cataracts of an old man. the result was astounding. i got a 3m clear protective sticker on them (as he advised) and my god they look brand new. worth every penny. he's a nice dude. very humble. no boru talk.
  7. Yeah the other ones Stewart. Because it's little...
  8. I recently had a look at a few caldinas as i wants a cheap runabout which was easily disposable. I never even heard of such issues in those cars. They're great little numbers. They'll hold their second hand value and bein 1.8 liter four pots, do reasonable well on fuel. There's a caldina gt in thalawathugoda which must be an absolute dream. Not so sure about reselling that tho. I really don't know what the mechanic is on about. Another car your cousin could consider is the Toyota dx wagon. Or the corolla wagon. Worth their weight in gold.
  9. this is a better photo of me:
  10. No bro my arms are not that hairy.
  11. there's a thread opened in your own good name, O_J. can you please go and sh!t all over it? leave the ssangyong boys alone? i'm sure none of them want your rabid blather on their newsfeed. shoo shoo. go to your thread now. good boy. goood boy. go.
  12. tomorrow matara and back. weekend syambalanduwa a-bay kalmunai
  13. its even better now. the ECU took some time to learn. pissu hadenawa bung... i'm taking her on a long tour this week. 1500+ km. should help to break her in and get the juices flowing.
  14. Please mods, open an "Osaka juicing" thread. I beg you! *puss in boots eyes* puh-leeeeze
  15. work moves on at a snail pace. the tinkering has moved on to the face now. the most important bit!
  16. that is fcuking brilliant! no i'm not trolling that's an excellent idea!! at least it'll deter them from trying. these badges mean the world to me!
  17. some parts which came from Japan look like they were manufactured yesterday. Others show a reasonable degree of wear and tear. I really can't explain how the former happens. The latter of course is understood. These things are 45 years old! Remember the steering? Looks like it was made yesterday!
  18. been at it today as well. let the emblems dry to a crisp, and then started wet sanding them with 2000 grit baby-bottom sandpaper... and they turned out like this. the top one looks a million bucks. the bottom one looks more affordable. maybe it could do with a chromium plating. ther'es a bit of surface pitting. but hey, i'm happy with the result for now. also gave a basecoat to the rear ends of the headlight surrounds and grille. left it to dry too. tomorrow, i start plastidipping. my goal, is this. down to the last detail:
  19. damn. did you ttry delkanda? even i went to cup raja looking for my center cups. advan alloys have a very odd sized center cup. nothing else fits. he was like "aa meywa advan allow wheel neyda? oa-wata badu lankaave naa." i just took the given center cap. no car nothing. i was told if he didn't have it, nobody will. so far, tis true. about to order from ebay. looked everywhere. not to dishearten you bro. sometimes the streetsmarts these guys have is incredible! good luck with the search
