  1. If you have no previous experience on cars, mechanical failures and how to get things sorted out you may benefit from buying a brand new as it is covered by agents warranty. But, there is no argument that it is behind the used jap in all other aspects (except FE). Please be aware that most 110s, FB15 are hacked by now. It is very difficult to find a well maintained one with recorded history and true milage. So when things go wrong you could be taken for a ride by the mechanics if you have no knowledge in the subject.
  2. You dont have to go to a reputed place to get this done. I get this done a a local place but never had a problem with color matching.
  3. They are not real wood. Just wooden finish on plastic.
  4. I'm also interested in the 16x series. Are there any known issues especially with the 165 with A/T an 2L T engine? If A/T has no problems prefer it. Going to use as a day to day vehicle and outstation trips. Thanks
  5. Actually A star has 1000cc k10b engine!
  6. A person I know had one given to him by the ministry. His advise was never to buy one as problems pop up one after the other.
  7. It's gonna increase. No idea how much. The importers are said to be having a meeting with the finance minister.
  8. Yep. You are right. Freed is better space wise. But i don't fancy the looks!
  9. Fully loaded in the sense 5 adults + luggage. I go on trips often. Freed should be better. But haven't been discussed in AL, is it?
  10. Guys, I'm also interested in buying a shuttle hybrid. My concern is whether the 1.3 engine is powerful enough to pull a fully loaded car especially in long distance uphill drives when the hybrid motor is not assisting? And from current users any known issues? Are there any Freed hybrid users, if so how will it be against the shuttle? Thanks
  11. Break Imbalance. Long time ago when we had a van had such a problem. When you apply break, it should be equal on both sides. Please get a mechanic to adjust the break pads.
  12. Fuel economy may improve by 1-2 kmpl after the service. By the way since this is a manual how good are you with the clutch?(No offense ) . If you drive very slowly and take a lot of time to maneuver the care you will burn more gas.
  13. Are the radiator fans working? And fast? I had an issue where one fan ran very slowly. And the heater may not be working if someone has closed the line and looped it thinking it affects the A/C.
  14. 1. If one day speed kills me, don't cry . Because I was SMILLING 2. Mahindra Land cruiser Prado
  15. Just buy a jap around 2 mil. You will save a lot of money. Only time you feel uncomfotable with a ICE is at the petrol pump. But in the long run its cheaper.
  16. Best is to go and meet the reg owner personally & get the papers filled. Check the NIC of the seller too. Who knows whether the registered owner is dead or alive. Problems could arise if you ever need to sign a document or so, and you may get some information about the car too.
  17. Bullion @ Maharagama. got 2 cars fixed. No issues
  18. had a carina for 5 years, riding a silphy now. comfort - both same driving - sylphy more manuverable, shorter turning radius parts - both freely available resale value - don,t know about the sylphy. still no idea to sell economy - sylphy always give 2-3 KMPL more outstations. almost similar in the city
