Try this link - http://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/vindecoder.php Eg - I believe upto some extend the color codes are similar by brand. So far it worked for me on minor touch-ups. Not sure if there is any variation than these standard codes with in the brand. Correct me if i'm wrong, KMeeg.

As of i can remember i wasn't that expensive. But let me go to the store again while i go home after work and check the price..

I haven't used TOA Spray but i have used touch up pen for minor scratches of my car and it worked really well. If you plan to use this you have to know your car color code. Otherwise it wont match. I have always use the brush part of this pen and it worked well for me. I haven't use the roller ball tip yet. Hope this might help. If you plan to use this i would suggest first try the bottom part of your bumper to double check if the color matches or not. I have used black and the color was matching perfectly. Since your car is silver you have to bee extra careful i guess. KMeeg.

You could have plan better before buying the Discover 3 to see if you could afford to maintain it without having to do these kind of mods.. For others who are planning to do LPG conversions read articles on the internet about LPG conversions and research about what kind of problems users faced after converting.. (Not sure why i'm getting all negative articles about these conversions..) Those who are planning to buy a car plan ahead to see if it fits your budget. Not just to pay the money to purchase it. See if you can use the car after buying it which includes proper insurance + fuel expenses + maintenance cost.. Basically its same as planing your life right? KMeeg..

Watch this video i just recorded. 2013 Toyota Corolla 1.8L 4 speed auto average mpg increased from 19.39(45.6mpg) to 22.02kmpl (51.8mpg). Here's what i did. Pump fuel, reset average fuel and straight away drove on highway only about 7 minutes. It reached 22.02kmpl(51.8mpg). No cruise control, purely driving on my own and not putting to neutral for any kind of trick. It could have increased if i drove more on highway and if i had a tripod or something to hold my phone in place so that i can concentrate more on driving. But a fact practically you cannot maintain this kind of fuel efficiency. I normally use this car for office travel and it does around 12.75kmpl (30mpg) in moderate traffic. But in Colombo traffic there is absolutely no way you can get 12.75kmpl (30mpg) on a 141. I'd rather go by bus.. (Updated the video link) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZHTp6ti-pg KMeeg.

If you can go for the 260 that would be really good. It will be a smooth ride than the 240. Others please correct me if i'm wrong. 260 comes with a CVT gear box with engine options of 1.5 , 1.8 , 2.0 which commonly go as A15, A18 & A20 VS the 240 comes with standard 4 speed automatic gear box with engine options of 1.5 , 1.8 , 2.0. But i've heard a CVT version of Allion 240 A20 as well. In summary 260 will give you a smoother ride with better fuel economy and more performance when needed. And of cause its better as its newer than the 240. KMeeg.

Hehh heee.. True machan... Here is the funniest part behind this test drive of the FR-S. First of all sorry to take this off the point of Mazda 6. I was looking for a second car for my self. So i started with a 2014 Corolla 6 speed man. Then this Scion FR-S which was slightly above the Corolla price range. Then dealer showed me the Camry 3.5L sports version with pedal shifts. Which to be honest i liked it with the features it came with. Guess what.. Ended up with a Toyota Venza AWD which is a crossover and no where near the category of sporty and having some fun with the car.. Not sure if this qualify for "Autolanka Funniest"... Sorry for posting off the topic but just posted this thinking this will be a fun story for been dumb myself.. KMeeg.

I believe GT 86 is same as Scion FR-S right? In my experience sure its fun to drive but no comfort (after you drove Allion). The center controls are more like in 141. Interior does not look that good and more of rough look. Driving position is is low and not sure you will feel comfortable driving bumper to bumper in Colombo traffic. Practically rear seats cannot be used but enough for 2 kids. You probably need a comfortable child seat to give them a comfortable ride. The one i test drive had a Subaru 2L boxer engine with 6 speed manual RWD. It had basic Poineer sound system and the dealer said their is a Premium sound version as well. Not sure what versions available for Toyota GT86. Hope this features are closer to the GT 86. KMeeg.

Does anyone has any idea that this is same with other dealers like Unimo? Does any one know whether they still support Kelisa, Kenari, Kancil? And the locally assembled NoMad? (Don't ask from sales department as i have heard lot of crap with a short experience with Viva's. I guess all Viva owners have heard their fuel economy numbers and delivery delay excuses right?) On another point is that i think (from what i heard from my office friends who owns Accent) if you cannot afford a Jap other Korean brands like Hyundai accent has enough spares and mechanics available right? KMeeg.

May be they treat well for serious cases which require immediate action. Recent example is my close relative was admitted to national hospital Monday for multiple valve blocks plus some more complications and now things are under control and the main surgery is scheduled Today. So far things are going well.. But i guess its true that for some surgeries which is not that critical has to be on the waiting list..
-
For our family we only trust the government hospitals for major surgeries.. But we do go to private hospitals for minor stuff including Caesarean section. But won't take a chance for surgeries like Open heart surgeries or anything. (Not sure whether any one in this forum has a bad experience with government hospitals for major surgeries) Would you agree Komi ? (Our dosthara honda hitha) KMeeg.

Ohh shoot... It was Schiffer who has the D5300... BTW anybody interested visit Schiffer's flickr, has some great pics taken with D5300.. KMeeg.
-
If possible like to see this with the D5300 with a macro lens. Personally i don't own any macro lens but i really like macro lens photos and macro lens is one of the items in my wish list.. Too expensive even though the limited usage for a casual shooter.. KMeeg.

You would find more details in the earlier thread we discussed about 3M tint. In summary it would cost around 10K - 40K depending on what tint you select (Crystalline, Color stable, etc..) and how much of tint you do (4 shutters, rear wind shield. front wind shield likewise). 3M Tint types - http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Window_Film/Solutions/Markets-Products/Automotive/ (Note - Crystalline tint is the best.) You can get an estimate from Tint City Kleen Park. Contact info - http://www.kleenpark.com/automotive-services-expert.html TINT CITY 129 / 131, T.B. Jayah Mawatha Colombo 10 Tel: +94 114 341 717 Search for the older 3M Tint thread too. You will get more information. KMeeg.

Thank you for the advise and i will definitely think about that point too. BTW i have PM you the lens order details. KMeeg.

Ya that's true. Anyways this is what i think that might be good for my case. Pls feel free to comment against this option.. Camera body - D5100 Why D5100 over D3200 for a third party lens ? · Slightly lower noise at high ISO 1,183 ISO vs 1,131 ISO (So at-least i can go ISO 800 with confidence) · Larger sensor APS-C 23.6x15.6mm vs APS-C 23.2x15.4mm (Hope this would slightly help the noise it high ISO) In addition D5100 comes with flip screen so i can do some videos pretty easily. And of cause the crop factor will give the extra reach over the FF D610. Lens - Tamron SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Why Tamron 150-600 over Sigma 150-500? · Very fast autofocus at 150mm and slightly faster auto focus at 600mm · extra 100mm for a slight price difference · Tamron 150-600 is moisture-resistant.(So i can use it with D610 in bad weather) Why third party lens? Obviously because i cannot afford a Nikon lens which has more than 400mm of reach. (Unless you earn something from photography) I'm posting all these info i found while hunting for a budget package for good zoom, thinking that it will help all who likes photography. I don't think you can shoot a racing event if you have to stand back in a stadium with entry level zoom lenses with 200mm or 300mm. And of cause these kind of zoom lenses will help you to take wildlife photos too.. KMeeg.

Dear friends, I'm thinking of buying a telephoto lens like Tamaron 150 - 600mm or Sigma 150 - 500mm as my current Nikon 70-200 one does not have much reach for outdoor events (I have attached an example below where i have to crop the images to get the picture nice and full). Also don't have a budget to go for a pro level zoom. But i have a second doubt of camera bodies, which body should i use with these kind of lenses. Option 1 - Telephoto lens + current D3200 - So that i have a crop factor when i fix a 600mm i get around 900mm. Option 2 - Telephoto lens + Get rid of D3200 and get a D3000 or D5000 as they have a slightly bigger image sensor but stay in crop factor. (Thinking that i can get more ISO to get high shutter speed). <I guess i can sell the D3200 at a good price and go for D3000 / 5000.. But D90, D300s, D7000 is unreachable / off my budget> Option 3 - Telephoto lens + current D610 - Since its a FF body i won't get the extra reach but can get extra ISO for a higher shutter speed. Eg - Of using D610 with 70-200 where i have to crop the image. I was on the first row but still 70-200 does not have the reach to fill the frame - Please let me know what you guys think. Which option works well for a casual shooter or a person who earns Rs 0.00 taking photos. .. Then i would say mid level DSLR used by pro's Anyways i always like those D90 & D300s.. Awesome DSLRs..

First of all i sorry don't know how to correct this issue. I just came across some videos on youtube with same issue with D80 & D90. But as you said i would first try 1 to clean inside of the camera with an 'Air Duster' (cans with compressed air which is great for cleaning dust inside the camera) to make sure its free of dust inside and out of the mirror. I found that Air duster is more effective than a rubber air blower. 2. Then would try to upgrade the firmware (Not sure if there is a way to reset the firmware as i haven't done a reset other than upgrade). 3. Clean the contacts of the camera for lens contacts. Try to IM 'Pericles' and try to get some advice as he is in the photography field. Try to contact 'Photo Technica' see if they can repair this and get a rough estimate. (Contact info - http://phototechnicasl.com/). Not sure if there is any good places around Kandy. Also i would advice since your camera is an expensive pro level camera better to give to a well reputed place. Hope at-least this info will help rather than nothing.. KMeeg. Is this the exact issue you have? Nikon D80 Err fix - Part 1 - Part 2 -

May be you guys already know this but i just got to know.. DSLR vs Camcorders.. Watch this - KMeeg.

Another thing is some cars have a low tire pressure indicator. It will indicate way before you get your tires go flat as it indicates even you're 2 or 3 psi below the limit. I've heard there's after market ones as well. Also when filling air I normally fill a little over the limit and use a little air pressure gauge to release air to correct pressure. Cheap and handy gadget. But if you're filling with digital gauge air pumps I think this gadget will be useless. In summary check for after market low tire pressure indicator and if you like to have some simple gadgets check for that small air pressure monitor which has a release button. KMeeg.
