Never seen a legit AE86 in SL. There was one with AE85 book, but thats also taking a different direction now. No longer in AE86 spec.

If you could install a four cylinder 250cc water cooled Honda DNA engine I'm sure it will be unique. I love that four cylinder noise! Also if you need Evo engine advise, one of the most modified Evo engine is now parked in my garage.

For some reason I could not save the ad under your name put up the very next day you took the parts and it was your phone number advertised. Facelift B/new imports had the same yr2000 interior but JDM facelift ones had a newer interior like the dashboard. JDM facelift had Electronic throttle which makes it a little more fuel efficient and the engine had a different head with Irredium spark plugs as standard. I was told that spark plug dimentions are different to the previous gen thus not interchangeable.

S is for Sport - changes gear ratios keeping the engine at higher RPMs. If u put it to this mode and press the accl pedal to the bottom, rpm will stay around 5-6k and keep on changing the gear ratios. Also the accl response is better. B is for Brake - Use the B mode when you are driving downhill for long distances (like down a mountain for more than 30 minutes). The “B“ mode is NOT a lower gear, like you would use for more traction, or towing or something like that. At almost all times you should be in “D“ mode. Well thats a nice "Hawk II" you have. I had a "Hawk I" it was 9 sri 24XX. 1979 model. Had lots of fun with it. Started a upgrading project with a Super Hawk chassis. But colud not finish it due to other work. If any one is interested I have the chassis, Front twin piston double disk brakes with rear disk brakes including both rims, few spare fuel tanks including the classic "Bundy" tank. Also halfway done Hawk 400 engine parts.

Later generation 4A-GZE (with higher comp 8.9:1, DLI) with MAP sensor with gearbox+CE100 axels is the way to go. Can run the same ECU with a Turbo as well. That's if u like turbos. Else 4A-GE 20V is my choice.

The issue has been there for engines manufactured from 01/03/07 to 01/03/11. I just would like to take an informed decision. The timing chains on the N47 is at the gearbox side unlike older M47 engines. To replace the timing chain it is necessary to remove the engine. Some times the crank also needs replacement.

I would like to know whether any of the E90 or X1 engines suffered with any engine timing chain issues as described in some forums. It seems a costly thing to repair. Appreciate some BMW expert input on Sri Lankan context. I'm having second thoughts for my next purchase. Thanks.

Hi Monty, I guess this is a common tyre change that is taken place in most of the new Allion/Premio cars. 2007-2009 cars came with 185/70*14 tyres and they fit 195/65*15 to increase ground clearance. But from 2010 onwards the face lifted cars came with 185/65*15 tyres as standard. On the driver's side door pilar these tyres sizes are given. Apart from that I'm amazed to see alloys with specific tyre sizes, cos generaly alloys are categorized in terms of Width*Rim Dia*PCD. eg 6.5x15, 100*5(PCD of Allion). Thats superb! Its the one with the CF lip, which is unique for 360 right? I'm wondering how much they tax for these in SL?
