If you have system restore on try to restore it, if not plug the HD to another working pc > backup all your important files and reinstalling windows would be the only way to go.
no machan didnt have system restore. what I did was I plugged the hdd to another pc and used chkdsk to scan for errors and it found a bad block or something in that registry file and fixed it. yipee!!
