Nissan Sunny B310 (~ 1978 ) Parts Availability
toosea replied to toosea's topic in General Automotive
Inspiring thread.. So Rameez, what are the sources of these parts? Do the original oem produce them or are they from third parties? In your case do you get japanese made parts or from other locations such as china, malaysia etc? Also is there any way to get Sumiya's attention to this thread without a frown on the mods faces -
Nissan Sunny B310 (~ 1978 ) Parts Availability
toosea replied to toosea's topic in General Automotive
Hi Rameez.. thanks.. Do you mean This one? -
Hello all! I am thinking of buying a b310 and talked with someone who bought one recently. According to him there is no parts scarcity and are readily available for this car. However someone else told me that it will take some effort to find parts for the b310. Does anyone have first hand experience regarding b310 parts availability? Highly appreciate any help with this.. (by the way I did search the archives and didn't come up with anything relevant..)

May be you could store the bad fuel some where and use it a gallon or so at a time with a good fuel tank.. there is obviously a risk involved.. -
Only if cars had automatically extendable and retractable covers...

Pardon me again, what does "body" in this case refer to?
-
The ad does say... Original Body Fitted
-
Would you be kind enough to explain in a bit more detail.. I am out of my depth here..
-
Ok.. so the number plate some things which are not supposed to be there... Should this prevent someone from buying the car? Or did I miss the point completely?
-
Hi.. what exactly do you mean by "not authentic" here?
-
And what would those 17 year vehicles be, may I ask?
-
A friend of mine who does buying and selling of vehicles for a living told me that one should not go for Korean vehicles. The reasons that he gave as I remember are that it is difficult to find parts and also repair. I don't have any other thing to back up this claim.. only his experience in the trade..

Dude have you heard of the book the timeless way of building? It is by christopher alexander and could be something that you need to get your hands on. I myself haven't seen or read the book. When I am going to build a house I am going to get a copy from somewhere. Google around for a bit and you can get more info about this. Hope this helps.

Yes I got it now. For the record it is the feeding cable to the small light on top of the fender. Only now I understood how this light works. Wonder if the cables are in tact of these lights...

Also check the radiator fan. If it does not work heat and pressure will build up faster and any micro leaks will tend to leak more and also get bigger over time.

Is this a diesel engine problem?

Hi guys, I was replacing a front signal cum parking light with a reconditioned one and found this thing attached inside. The head part was screwed and fixed in to the parking light area and the fibre lead was leading out like a wire. The fibre lead was cut off when I bought it. I couldn't figure out what this thing was at first and thought the wire was a conducting wire.. but then cleaned away the sheath to find a bundle of thin optic fibres. Just being curios here.. any idea about the function of this thing?

I had a similar problem.. while driving in traffic with the AC on there would be sudden acceleration and acceleration and sometimes it would be very tedious to drive. It only happened while the AC was on and the final solution was to replace a some kind of vacuum operated relay or switch. There are a couple of vacuum lines that come in to this switch. Once replaced it is quite less frequent than before May be this might help to diagnose your problem...
