Same problem occurred to me some time back. Used belt dressing but it didn't work out. 1st chk the tension of the belt and if that's adequate better to change the belt. Since though u use belt dressing chances are it might not work or will be a temp fix. So rather add that money for the new replacement

Try Pet#o, i have seen they does the multifunction steering conversions, so high chance they will be able to do this as well. Im using a Droid 2 Global for sometime now. :sport-smiley-027: the screen is a disaster. Doesn't respond @ all sometimes. Thank god is has the hardware keypad. Else i would have smashed it long time ago. Sigh. But Samsung screens are much better than of Motorola as i suppose.

Kavvz, Yes the transmission incident occurred after the alternator repair. When initially i repaired the alternator checked the voltage and it was between 12.5 - 13 V as i can remember. And the battery was charging fine. After this incident also i checked the alternator voltage and it was the same. Can it be due to some ECU malfunction? If that so shouldn't it be a more regular issue than a one time incident?

Dear Sylvi, Yes, This thread opened for another issue. PO443 i mentioned as other issues currently with the car thinking whether it has something to do with this gear change issue. Also the PO443 code popped up after i repair the alternator. (Changed the coil pack and regulator IC).

That is one wicked ride. But i'd rather bus than getting out of that thing :D

Thanks guys for the inputs. The P0443 issue came after i fixed the alternator. Is there any connection with this error and the alternator fix ? The place i did the scaning didn't had the facilities to check the functionality of the solenoids through their scanner. This needs to be checked soon as well. I will take the car to a good electrical mechanic and should get the system checked. Thanks again.

Hmm ... didn't see this thread before. But this mentioned rule has been changed again. I dont have any supporting info on to how much they have reduced it to but when i went to transfer my vehicle they advice me to come during next week since their system is going to change. If you going to do a late transfer during this week (before their system change) you will incur the late payments if theres any payable.

the newly implemented late payment system ( Rs. 100 per day) for vehicle transfer has been altered again. So i guess open paper business will continue as usual

Thanks Miniace, The guy i checked with didnt knew much about activating solenoid with the scanner. Should check again with a good place. Btw what is the impact to the engine due to this issue ? Is it a very bad situation which needs immediate attention? I dont feel any issue with the performance of the vehicle.

Has anyone incured this fault code P0443 or similar? P0443 - Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit This code comes with the check engine light. I got the code cleared once but still popping up time to time. Any of you had experience with this issue, appreciate your input. Thanks fonfe for the valuable info, I got it checked with a scanner and he said its due to the loose connection in the connector. Going to get it checked again from the place where i removed it from.

Dear experts, Recently i had to remove the steering wheel of my car (with the airbag) to service the AC cooler. After the fix airbag indicator is On permanently. Does this happen since the airbag has been removed and re fixed ? Do i have to reset this light ?

Hi Aravinda,Maps are device independent but software dependent. Since this device running Win CE, u can install Garmin or Navitel software later on. I had a Garmin SL map but it lacks details and getting stuck all the time. Sala and Dialog Sat uses a software called Navital and it uses Atlas maps which are highly detailed and does not get stuck. You will be able to install this software from Sala for a fee. Make sure ur device has at least 64 - 128 Mb of RAM.
