CB8 indeed a good car and has some reasonable options and comfort compared with same generation diesels. There is a turbo version also (2.0 4D68T as I know). The engine is widely shared between other Lancer models, Galants and Mirages so engine and mechanical parts will not be a big issue. But body parts are bit tricky to source but exactly the same as petrol version including interior. This issue is common to all vehicles of that era. Don't know about fuel figures though.

Yes. that's right. I also have a Carb Lancer. It's really hard to do a proper tune and to keep it as it is for a while.

Seems this is related to the idle up circuit. check this with an electician first.

May be your AC clutch is not working properly and could be due an electrical problem like a loose connection. Had a similar issue and the culprit was a faulty relay.

True. This cannot be readily applicable in SL where even now people already have flashing lights in all sorts of vehicles. But I'm actually pointing to a fact. It's not a suggestion nor an opinion.

Actually the strobe is issued by a govt. agency there under strict rules. It's nothing that people buy them just to show off.

In some European countries doctors are given a flashing green strobe light to indicate that they are doing an emergency run.

GLX version has RPM meters as well as power shutters and power mirrors. I think GL trim doesn't have them across all CB series. CB1 basic could start from 850K upto 1 mil.

Most of CB1's and CB2's are carbs atleast in SL. Some CB3's came with DOHC ECI multi (Mitsu's EFI). And yes interior is almost identical, apart from some 95 CB3's have some options such as climet control etc. US export version is always 4g91 ECI with ABS and air bags.
