I just want to share my experience between the axela and vios.I think when it comes to comfort people have their own definition.I had an axela for myself brought it out of love,But as the time goes I found it bit way bumpy and uncomfortable for these roads .Strangely when you got to drive the axela for few rides you will find it very comfortable with the fabric seats and stuff(What happen to me also). But once you got to own it and ride it on day to day basis on various roads with pot holes and uneven roads you'll find it very bumpy and way too stiff,There were good number of occasions I got to hold to the steering wheel tight just to stay in one place without throwing around. But people in the back seats find the car very comfortable to be in.As I said when you first got to drive it you'll fall in love with the car.Other than the comfort issue it was the best car I got to won.I recently brought a vios and it is really a comfortable ride for me comparing to that ride of the axela. But I really miss the handling of the axela, vios feels like a lorry in comparison to that. But much happy about the purchase.

Toyota Vios And Nissan Shylpy - Which One To Select
GayanR replied to udaya803's topic in General Automotive
If your main concern is comfort go for the sylphy, vios will give you a bit stiffer ride but no by means uncomfortable. But sylphy is way ahead in comfort. There is no common issue in vios related to suspension, only for those idiots who repair their shocks.I think vios is one of the cheapest to maintain+ in terms of spare parts price,For an example front strut KYB only cost 8200/= at TAAS. . Fuel consumption vios city 10-11 out 14+ Sylphy city 8-9 out 12-13 -
Tanx for the reply. What they did was pour BG quick clean can straight on to the transmission and let it idle for 10 minutes. Then they removed the pan drain and cleaned it.Then they add the new fluid and later added BG conditioner can. I'm holding on to my luck whether this will ruin my transmission or not.Anyways they seem to add on this conditioners to every car out there.

Never buy a vehicle just focusing on the low mileage. It might be very well hacked and odometer reversed.A well maintained 250000km car can be better than a neglected low mileage one. Also if the car is nearing 90000km and the previous owner (assume First owner) claims that he has never done any repairs or touched the engine,be well prepare to replace every part of the car including mounts, shocks, bushes and so on.Most of the 10-15 year olds that sits around in magical 80000km range has done well over 150000km and reversed. There are genuine low mileage ones,You can get an idea just by speaking to the owner of the car and his knowledge about the car.Buy a car from a home with service records including it's previous owners records.More than the mileage consider the condition of the car and number of owners. For a Toyota, nissan 80000km is just breaking in.They can last past 250000 miles if you do the maintenance correctly.

While driving it's not a good habit you'll lose engine breaking+some transmissions doesn't circulate fluid unless it's in gear so avoid doing so completely.when in traffic don't make it a habit for every stop and go.It will cause unnecessary wear on parts.Just put it into neutral if the wait is more than 2 minutes and you are tired keep pressing the break.Even if you are in neutral it's not going to save considerable gas.just a small strain on the engine. So do it only when necessary.

Hi all,Yesterday I went to A**M***j to change My car ATF.and to do a radiator flush.I strictly told the chaps there not to do a machine flush but to do a manual change.Anyway the supervisor forgot the advise and had to re inform the mechanic guy not to do it.Next the guy showed me the oil I have ordered and went to change it.I went to check the car again and then he was adding this small bottle called "BG quick clean" to the transmission.I had a sniff of the bottle and almost fainted due to the strong smell of it.It was too late to stop, the guy told that they are doing this for years for manual fluid change not to worry and let the car idle for around 10 minutes with that cleaner inside and drained. Also they have added an Additive bottle to the new transmission oil as well. The 2 additives alone cost 5000/=rs.I was not in a mind to make a mess so came back home.Car seems fine. But I have heard that some quantity of old oil remain in the transmission,I"m worried what if that cleaner stuff still remain inside the transmission. Is this the normal proccedure?

yeah true,I guess it's all temporary, but people are trying to get the maximum benefit out of it.I already saw some ads of vios and 121 prices gone up by 3-4 lks.

I don't think there will be any changes on import tax,but I see the 2nd hand market heading back to the super inflated era after this fuel price reduction.

And next time change your car perfume as well if you have any, they kind of get attracted to warm perfumes like rose, lavender etc.Replace it with something like apple or lemon scent. Also get some mothballs and rub them in all your tire sidewalls till the bugger give up.
