Toyota Vios And Nissan Shylpy - Which One To Select

My question is about the Toyota vios and Nissan Sylphy models.

Which car is better compared to the other?

I don’t know whether it possible to compare these two as vios is bit expensive than Sylphy and it is good in fuel consumption. But from performance, maintenance, resale value which one you guys recommend?

What are the major pros and cons of these two when comparing ?

I heard that in vios there is a common issue related to suspension. That's the only thing I heard bad about vios. Is there anything else ?

Vios is marketed and made as an entry level or may I say as a Car for a person at a lower cost. If you are looking at comfort, imo sylphy takes the upper hand. The only major difference is the second hand market which makes vios a preferd choice for many people in SL.

But if you can stretch your budget a bit more, you will be able to get your hands on a newer blue bird sylphy for around 2.9mil I guess ,asumming you are referring to both Vios and sylphy made in 2004-5 era.

If your main concern is comfort go for the sylphy,vios will give you a bit stiffer ride but no by means uncomfortable.But sylphy is way ahead in comfort.There is no common issue in vios related to suspension,only for those idiots who repair their shocks.I think vios is one of the cheapest to maintain+ in terms of spare parts price,For an example front strut KYB only cost 8200/= at TAAS. .

I have used both cars. Apart from bad fuel economy can't say anything bad about Sylphy...It's such a comfortable car in that price range. but I have to accept the fact that maintenance is bit more expensive and frequent than Vios..

If I were you i'd go for the sylphy,

It's more comfortable, a lot better looking, and it's made in JAPAN.

As for the vios it's slightly more economical, and has a higher resale value but is NOT made in japan.
