Hi sira no idea about best brands but once i installed this brand "inwells"..that was from a shop in dehiwala zoo road...pretty good stuff many options working for 3 years+ and was cheap about 6500 for the unit and 1200 for fixing and all...well even i like to know the prices of Pet#o lanka and major shops....

Sorry to hear your problem...I can remember my one(fb14) used to turn on radiator fan only when like temperature gauge reach about middle...those engines can handle heat...but both fans turns on whenever i turn on the a/c from a cold start...that's how it worked...have you tried climbing a hill from a cold start to see if the temperature rise to red level within seconds that quick?kara kara sound may be related to engine rattling is this a manual?have you tried flushing the radiator may be there's some air trapped or clogged....that gauge is so inaccurate,may be something wrong with the gauge itself.car isn't actually heating up..the car would smoke if it very near the red line as i can remember...since your fans are not turning up with a/c you should check on that first....

HI mate i think you are better off with a well maintained kia or a Hyundai for that price...even a honda eg8 or a mazda interplay...if that car was that poorly cared you can't trust on engine or other parts...you'll get into one heck of a trouble later replacing mounts,bearings and all the stuff..

my god why did you buy it at the first place??i'm sure you are going to pay some good cash for all that repairs....4 shocks,clutch kit and who knows what's wrong with the engine...

It's hard to pin point..how's the exhaust and silencer?does it look black full of carbon deposits?which emission cause the car to fail according to report?it's better if you can put up the report details here...idle speed and all

60k?for sure some parts may have been replaced..or a complete rip off...he got nothing to do other than enjoy the misery...anyway may be a major service cleaning all the lines,flushing engine and stuff,but still 60k...

Drive more and more you'll get used to it...you don't need to constantly look at the rpm meter...it's more efficient if you can shift at about 2500 rpm...it's not a rule.again train your ear you'll know when to shift..you don't need to drive like a grandma..if you need to accelerate harder just take it easy just don't jump and press the accelerator to floor...keep pressing the accelerator smoothly while building up speed...go into a higher gear when ever possible...it doesn't mean you are going to climb a hill on 4th gear you'll waste more fuel that way if you put too much stress on your engine....avoid frequent accelerations and breaking hard in traffic just keep a distance about 2-3ft that way you can break smoothly..drive in a calm manner that will do...anyway drive more and more...keep proper engine tune up...that what matters most...since you are driving a manual it will forgive you unlike you try to race an automatic you can see the gauge coming down...

If you can put some pics here...it's not easy to get it corrode that soon...is it blacked out?may be you are referring to carbon...

It's better if he can get a engine scan done at kandy...just to be safe

why you expect so much fuel efficiency,go for what you love,That's what matters in the end..a simple shock replacement will cost you more than you save from fuel for 3 years or so....or else buy a aqua like hybrid...anyway if you are looking for a choice between those two i would say go for a allion 240 with a good lip kit..the looks aren't boring...axios are like taxi here now...

If it's mounts vibrations should happen all the time...did your mechanic scans your ecu?There is no reason to change the throttle body without a good reason...it's better if you can find a good garage who can test all the sensors...

It should be engine/transmission mounts or bearings if no sensor has failed...may be something related to a/c compressor giving a hard time for the engine when engaged..check whether the ac belt is too tight or old....
