  1. ATCO at Stanely Tillekeratna mawatha, Very good place , reliable , honest and they give a 1 year warranty for services.
  2. Such is life, take it easy, you have learn t your lesson, so now lets rebuild, Rebuilding wouldn't cost you much.
  3. Sorry to hear. You should have attended to teh headting problem,? anyway now too late. Try Charlton, Jayasiri at Mawanella - for a new I mean a recon engine. AT Nugegoda Delkanda opposite the petrol shed there is a big auto spare shop, I think the name is like Fujimi or something, they had a complete car dismanteled, also check Euro Nippon and others. This is nopt so common engine, so if the guys got it you may be able to negotiate. But as suggested above try Toyota Lanka, if not GS Motors at Panckikawatte, don't worry too much, engine rebuilding is not a very issue.
  4. Its a nice, roomy comfortable car with a pleasure to drive. My experience it does ( I had 2.5 ltr engine as oppose to many 2 ltr engine) about 6 - 7 per ltr in city, which I was quiet happy considering the size and plus factors even many standard cars would do around 8-9 per ltr. maintenance I didn't had major issues and was quiet ok. As most of the cars were 99 YOM If you could find a decent low mileage car it's a good car.
  5. Pls check with someone knowledgeable by showing the car, sounds like you have blown the gasket, this could be verified by physical evidences, so better show it to knowledgeable person. Also, did u replace the heater plug. besides the heating a miss could develop due to an alternator malfunction too.
  6. I wouldn't recommend a recon one for this particular component. Bets is brand new from agents, I bought one about 2 yrs ago and the cost was about 5000/.

    Power Shutters

I hv heard that there is good car electrician call Amerasinghe - Amerasinghe Auto Electricals down Neelam mahara road somewhere before Yahampath Mawatha on your left side when going from Maharagama
  8. I Think its Alfred Edirisinghe Bro's or * Co what ever down Borella maradana Road, opposite Aquinas / Macwoods.
  9. Congrats, U r a lucky person even after 18 yrs and the help of your father.
  10. I used one for few months but did fair amount of running including out of Colombo up to kataragama. Quiet reliable of as new recon. Steering noise and the high fuel consumption are the issues, I used to get about 6 max 7 out of Colombo.v This was 6 yrs ago, so better check with few how it does after many yrs of running in SL.
  11. Hey guys' , accept humbly your point, sorry didn't mean it that way, well let me rephrase Election Gundu's - Banana Politicians runs Banana Governments -
  12. This mist can become a nightmare if its raining, specially at nioght. This could also due to the Air con doors to the windscreen deteriorating, generally they use a sponge type of a material and with time it decays. So it will be worthwhile to show a good AC workshop and they will re do the thing,
  13. Election gundus. this is Banana Republic...
  14. Could be, or even from st rack mounts, it is very difficult to judge from a message like this, best is he takes to a tst drive with a good mechanic workshop.

    Toyota Carina

Also the pre English number cars are before the face lift, so face lifted version with an English plate is little higher.
  16. I think its the solonoide not releasing, a simple service should be ok.
  17. This could be well a electrical problem even rather than a carb issue. How is your Ignition coil, or CDI unit, condenser, plugs, hi-tention wires and the distributor. Even with slightly craked cub which may not be well visible there could be a current leak that give rise to weak performance. Or Distributor is warn off. Just few things to check, I am sure others will help u.
  18. Try Panapitya & Sons - Just opposite D*MO's
  19. I think firstly go and thank your dad for giving a such lovely car rather than the Vios. Once you get his blessings all the info you need will come to you. Good Luck and congrats.
  20. Just check the shock mounts too..
  21. Hi Mini Great to hear you are restoring a 115. 115 you are restoring is it a petrol one. tx
  22. Mark ll got a 4 cylinder version as well as 6 cylinder on the 2000 cc engine. The later ones came with a VVTi engine. Engine capacity 2000 or 2500. I had 2500 cc car and use to get about 7 per ltr in city, out of town even upto 9 +. Considering the size of the car & engine I am sure one would be quite satisfied with the fuel consumption.
  23. It was originally IWS Holdings , I think still they are the agents. Nice cars until they start giving trouble, after that they are nightmares...
  24. It's Kuliyapitiya. It's a breaker yard. Two boys are running it now, their father was doing it originally who passed away about 6-7 yrs ago.
  25. Is this the one in Rathmalana,
