nothing worked me other than waraka.

Try a piece of "waraka" as the bait for the cage... worked all the time. dry fish (even cheese) did not work well for me. and true, the cage is very effective . keep a cage in the car too.

Best Car For 1.3M (With Good Fuel Consumption + Full Option + Easy Maintenance)
bycap replied to Iroshw's question in Car Buying Information
Apart from the car list, Starlet would be a better option. Below is my experience with starlet ep91 (YOM is 1997) Fuel Consumption : In heavy traffic don't expect more than 10. Moderate traffic 12-13. Long distance with careful driving 17-18 (once I achieved 20+) -
its pretty easy. Go there, Select all ads, search for mark x. its a long advertisement...

Unusual Sound From Steering Wheel When Going Over Rough Roads
bycap replied to asanka_rg's question in Mechanical problems
or probably the lower arm bush or engine mounts. Bring it to a wheel alignment. Mostly they will tell you what the root cause is. -
Almost all have been discussed deeply. just do a search and do some study.

I think how heavy the car is critical when dropping the car in to a pot hole. My starlet has gone over many pot holes almost every manner you can think of, with low profile tires, still no issue. doesn't mean that I do it purposely, but some potholes can not avoid.

Move From Demio(Dw3W) To March Beetle
bycap replied to bimalnp4me's question in Car Buying Information
True. Selling a vintage like car and buying a similar old car make no sense. you know the service history which you have done, you know what need to be repaired, issues and what not. Basically you know the car well. Why take a risk ? (I'm facing the same scenario ) -
Im very much like to see the answers for these questions. Once I accidentally dropped in to a garage near pannipitiya, Replica Sp*ed. Later I got to know they are specialized in Subies. As I noticed they bring down parts too. Specialists will answer properly...

Fuel Price Is Coming Down. Do Sri Lanka Need Price Reduction ?
bycap replied to gayanath's topic in General Automotive
I don't think it is easy to replicate the world market's price if there is a sudden variation. That is because of the complex agreements like hedging are playing around. Even today ( or tomorrow or within this week) price is reduced, predicted price for the agreement could be higher. Besides this is an opportunity to the government to settle any loss of CPC or whatever. I'm curious to know what happened to the huge loss incurred due to previous hedging agreement. -
whoa.... Thread discussion goes nowhere...

Recently watched Predestination, Untouchables and Unbroken. Predestination is sort of a paradox movie. And Untouchables and Unbroken based on true stories. All are great movies to watch if you love realistic ones.

I did some sound system installation few months back for the same car. Installed Pioneer head unit and speakers. Installed an under seat sub too (don't remember the brand, not kenwood/pioneer/jbl) I think JBL sub woofers you see in sri lanka are not the genuine ones. A genuine one will cost a fortune. After 8 - 9 months, still working good.

Huge Ho Sound Of Rear Wheels When Running Over 50Kmph
bycap replied to asanka_rg's question in Mechanical problems
To find who the culprit is do this. Jack the car up. Try to rotate the wheel If it doesn't rotate smoothly, the the bearings might be the problem. Some cars need only to replace the bearing. that's a very cheap fix. Some need to replace the whole unit. If that's the case, it'll cost few thousands. -
Thats the life bro. things happen Get well soon.

I have to agree with this part. but before going to expensive highway we need to achieve certain economic level I suppose. If we have a high production capacity where we need to transport our products to harbors/ air ports etc. we need a good transportation system. But if we are going to have an expensive highway system just to travel comfortably, may be just to show off or as a political gimmick where you can sell it in the next election while scamming during construction, I don't think that's what we need right now. Of course we need it when the real requirement comes.
