  1. Usually, these kinda parts are sold with complete doors... but there are some occasions where you might find it here in local shops if you are lucky... if not try Yahoo Auctions... I bought down few parts which I couldnt find here from yahoo auctions..
  2. Oh right, now i get it thanks on the other hand I heard, USA frequencies doens't fully cover SL... I mean even thought its full range, their number starting after the first decimal places goes on in only ODD numbers (Eg: 101.7, 87.9), so it wont catch the SL channels ranging in the even numbers (Eg: 96.6)...in that case, the best thing is to get one from SL itself, and this model is not to be found here...
  3. Mine is 4 inches tall and 7 inches long... which is 101.6mm and 177.8cm then it fits right... my question is, to put in inside, do i have to place in in a cover like thing which i have mentioned with a pic in my previous post? or straight away can i put the player into the dash, without the help of any dash kit to hold it? precisely what im asking is, should i buy a mount kit too like this... http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-PIONEER-ADT-VA133-DOUBLE-DIN-INSTALL-KIT-FOR-COMPATIBLE-PIONEER-RECEIVERS-/182007115177?hash=item2a60782da9:g:HvsAAOSwa-dWq9RS
  4. Hi experts, I wanna know if this will fit my car.. right now i have a stock set (casette player and the cd player integrated seperately) so if i remove that I get a space of a 4/11inch ... can someone tell me, if im buying this item what else should i buy seperately to fix it?.. it says it comes with a wire harness... is that all I need? I'm hoping to fit my 2 speakers in the back too, so can I buy that fitting wire locally? And also do I have to buy a dashkit panel to install this or will it be possible to install this without a dashkit panel? your help and advice is highly appreciated here is the link for the item... http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Pioneer-FH-X720BT-Double-2-DIN-InDash-CD-Player-Bluetooth-MIXTRAX-Pandora-/151509856129?hash=item2346b0ef81:g:OTIAAOSw6EhUQbwn&vxp=mtr This is the dashkit panel im talking about... it doesn't come with this package....
  5. If someone is looking for a Branded double din normal setup like me (Not the touch system one) I found one in Pet#o. One of the designs of it is as below image. And this too has the Bluetooth phone calls and phone book features embedded as well. This is exactly what I’m looking for unfortunately the price of it is very high for this which is 28k. However I was told that there is a place in kirulapone called Chamara Stickers that has branded original double din setups that has a huge variation. I should try that place too and update.
  6. I thought about it too, but didn't want to get their opinion because they might want to sell their product and tell us they need to replace... will check into the rear speakers too.. and hell yes, I would like to have that equalizer thing coz im very much a music nut... regarding this in-dash amp or equalizer i have no idea at all about it..i will just google and see.... thanks davy
  7. ok and regarding the speakers is there any specific watt or levels that should be there in speakers if I am to install some speakers? I have come across 3 speakers and I want to have the best one that would suit the voltage levels etc. Any idea which one will fit my car profile out of these? http://ozonelanka.com/Pioneer-TS-A6995S-Car-Speakers http://ozonelanka.com/Pioneer-TS-G1604C-Car-Speaker http://ozonelanka.com/Pioneer-TS-A6965S-Car-Speakers And the SETUP I have selected is as follows; http://ozonelanka.com/Pioneer-DEH-X1750UB-Car-Player?search=pioneer
  8. oh no no that's too much of a plunge to take and im not willing to walk through that door All I need is a decent pioneer setup that would fulfill my basic car needs while in the car But yes as you said, it will be hard to find one that fits like the stock one's and if so, I guess I will have no choice...the current one sux..
  9. Hi folks... need some expertise with regards to the 2din/setup.. Initially my plan was to go for a 2din reverse cam too... after reading few threads gave up the idea coz most people have commented here that the reverse cam doesn't make any better than the side mirrors.... so i thought of only going for a good setup... my requirement is I only need a good FM/CD/MP3 and USB port.. I need to be able to adjust the base and trebles too... so with this regard I would only want to go for a PIONEER Setup... but I'm not at all good in this subject of selecting a good player that fulfill only this aforementioned need of mine... and another thing... I have 2 back speakers as well.. right now they don't work, but the front speakers work... so can it be that, the speaker covers are there in the back but no unit is inside?... in that case I would want to have backside speaker units too... right now the exisitng cd player in the car doesnt give a quality output... so can this be the fault of the front speaker or the setup itself (the treble and bass is useless)...and also when installing speakers, will they remove the original speaker casing of the back? (or will they just drop the speaker unit inside and keep the original casing? is it mandatory to replace the casing of the new speakers like that?) so my knowlege in this area is nill, I would like to know, should I buy all 4 speakers also with the pioneer setup or should I buy only the setup, and is can I buy both these from one plays, or is there a special place i should go to in order to buy speakers that is relevant to the setup in buying (voltage levels etc.) ? So far I came across these 2 setups... both these caters my requirement, but I don't see a difference in these 2 models.. can someone who is experienced in this area, explain me what are the differences of these 2 same setups? (also are these prices higher than the average prices or are these cheap compared to the pioneer setups in other places?) https://mydeal.lk/deals/view/819 http://ozonelanka.com/Pioneer-DEH-X1750UB-Car-Player?search=pioneer also now since there will be a space undeneath the normal setup (since im not going for a full 2 din setup) how can i utilize the balance space to add something else, coz i dont like to have a blank space inbetween, i would like to see the center panel compact and full Your advice and help is highly appreciated

tried my best machan, but he only reduced 75k from that. His argument was "look at the car & tell me, can i sell this for any lesser". bought it for that price coz the engine and body was in good condition.I asked for previous emission test reports and when i checked the emission reports odo value since 2011, it was accurate & has driven only around 5k km's as he works in col and the car was is in NW

  11. So this "NO-BADI PATHA", how do we get it before going to update the revenue license? what do you mean by relevent WP office (is there only 1 office in the western province that can issue a nobadi patha?) In that case can we call the relevant WP office and tell them to fax it to us without going through the CP office?

  13. I hear ya guys... Hmmm... I think I will reconsider my options again and see how it goes... thanks a lot for the advises and the guidance
  14. Thank you for the very detailed response Kusum and iRage... I came across this situation because I found a good presea with Brown interior... so since I hate brown I wanted to have it my previous presea's colour (Grey)... After your advises now I believe I should not be changing/repainting the interior and the best thing is to find another presea with the grey interior itself..... thanks once again
  15. hahaha forgive me watchman but I find this extremely funny (stubborn goat part) I remember captain haddock too calling professor calculas a goat... so I'm not surprised you calling me a goat (but have to accept the fact that I'm a bit stubborn ) You do realize that an auto presea does lesser than the manual right? so doesn't that indicate that I'm not worried about the fuel consumption? ok ok I accept the fact I should have thought more, I"ll blame it on my hangover!
  16. Need a few advises regarding changing the dashboard/interior colour... lets say you have a brown interior (brown dashboard/steering wheel and brown door panels) and you wanna change it to grey colour... after taking the car to a professional and doing a paint and change the colour entirely; 1. What are the pros and cons and the after effects you might face? 2. Due to the new paint of the interior, and the weather conditions in SL, will the dashboard get cracked? 3. Will the new paint looks fake and will it give an impression that the interior has been changed. 4. In average, to do a good job by the best professional for this, whats the maximum cost I'm looking at Thanks in advance
  17. Met a cute lady who owns a White Presea with a cute daughter... Gave my number as usual if she is willing to sell her car...It's been 2 days now and still no call.. Why do they keep me waiting so long..

  18. Ah there you go... this is what I also wanted to check... someone who actually experienced it rather than dwelling on Daniel someones statement Thanks for sharing the experience Hashan... now I don't have the idea to tint my headlights anymore
  19. Well Daniel stern can be wrong right? “Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.” - Lord Buddha. Therefore, one has to try this method out and finds himself that the brightness of the light will be reduced by this aforementioned protective sticker...
  20. Right. In that case, lets say you have a super bright headlight bulb.. and afrer applying that blue layer, still the bulb is bright enough to see the road and you are satisfied with the brightness (still you can see the road well)... In that case I guess its no harm using the sticker as long as you can see the road well.... coz I wouldnt want to knock my car on something and damage it... so if the eyeseight is good and if the brightness still is enough, i believe it is OK to use the bulb... it depends on each individual though...
  21. But here we are talking about a protective sticker of blue... not a blue bulb or light... the light will be the normal yellowish bulb, its just the sticker we are talking about here... still you say this theory applies to this sticker as well?
  22. I've never heard, that protective layer reduces brightness... it is a very thin layer you know? so are you sure about this? how come a very thin layer of blue cover reduces light? my friend uses the same thing in his blue presea, and he tells me not a single bit of brightness has reduced...
  23. yes I know, i just did it myself in my previous presea... its just that i fell in love with this bluish lighted sylvia that I wanted to do this.. well we can do like this..use nightbreakers and see how much of a brightness gets reduced after wearing these stickers and if its a significant amount we can always remove the stickers right.. nothing hurts in trying.. will see once i get my car and update on the brightness level..
  24. No no, I forgot to mention... its not the windscreen im going to tint.. its the windows that I'm going to tint in light blue.. and for the lights, also its not a tint that im suggesting, it's that blue head light protector sticker that most of the guys paste in order to protect it from being yellowish.... now i believe you would agree with me that it would not harm right?
  25. Adeh.... do they have LIGHT BLUISH Tints too in Sri Lanka? After seeing this I got a thought... light bluish tint would look good on a white vehicle with blue headlight stickers too...jesus magnum you never fail to inspire me.... I have never seen light blue tinted windows in any vehicle in sri lanka..why is that? I mean tints like the colour of this headlight cover along with this headlight cover...oh dear!
