  1. Is it a real RS, I mean is it a GE8?
  2. Well they're closing it down so starting from 2021 I guess all Civics would be imported from somewhere else https://www.theguardian.com/business/2019/may/13/honda-close-swindon-plant-ending-workers-hopes
  3. Ha! How about that, @hrm !
  4. 3rd party additives, ha, good one... Did you see the video in which they were frigging pressure washing the INSIDE of a car door? they lamely claimed that there was vomit inside the car and every electrical component inside the door were removed but didn't have an answer when people asked who in their right mind would dismantle a door, remove electronics and reassemble the door again in order to clean the vomit off of it
  5. Nah man the forum is dead ? Anyway, I don't have any personal experience but from what I have read the usual procedure is to source a double-DIN facia and replace the single DIN facia with it Eg : I guess this facia matches the EK3 but note that the controls are inverted since they have LHD cars in US. If there is a JDM version which came with DDIN from the factory you'll have to take the DDIN facia off from one of them https://www.ebay.com/itm/99-00-CIVIC-DOUBLE-DIN-CLIMATE-CONTROL-EK-RADIO-BEZEL-OEM-EK-EJ8-SI-EM1-CRACK/143376099953?epid=10027071953&hash=item2161e1aa71:g:KCQAAOSwy75dc1au
  6. Couldn't it be the normal laggy behavior of the CVT, maybe you're just used to the crisp and instant gear change of the 4AT you had
  7. Maybe he meant there are more Vitzes on the road than Sting-rays
  8. As long as the 2nd letter is "G", it's not decodable You can try inserting a wrong code (like 12345678)/Disconnect the battery, wait 10 mins and see if changes on the next start - if it does you're in luck - if it doesn't then... ?
  9. They've indeed changed the encoding of the newer players; it seems even paid services are unable to decode those-
  10. Don't tell me Toyota has wised up and has changed the ERC encoding You're sure you pressed on the OK button (One on the right - watch the video) after entering the code right?
  11. Well, the code you previously sent is right; so the passcode should be D 4 C E E B 7 2. Either you're entering it wrong or your player uses a unique algorithm to encode the ERC. ? Maybe you entered 8 instead of B?
  12. Californikan ?
  13. Mazda is just putting some of their eggs in the EV basket in case the eggs they've put in the ICE basket don't make it
  14. If it worked you should be able to access the stereo (CD/USB playing etc) And reversing camera should function if it didn't up until now
  15. Can you post a picture of the ERC?
  16. Don't forget the recall support which extends up to 10+ years. Even cars sold in 2005-2007 were issued with replacement airbag inflator modules due to the Takata airbag recall by some agents in Sri Lanka
  17. Looks like it's turning out to be one of those mega-dramas... ? After watching 100 or so episodes, when you start to think that the drama is finally coming to a conclusion, suddenly you find that it has come all the way back to the frigging square 1 on the 101st episode! I don't know whether to feel amused or annoyed rn ?
  18. Was worried you'd miss this... would've been a real shame, we didn't have any real "entertainment" around here for quite some time ne ?
  19. The MG ZS: Base price CNY 73,800 Looks like we Sri Lankans get what's at the bottom of the Chinese barrel of SUVs
  20. That airbag recall affected almost all car manufacturers including Japanese and European manufacturers. Even BMW, BENZ, Volkswagon, and GM cars were recalled. If you want to learn more, Search for "TAKATA airbag recall". Vezel was never meant for Sri Lankan conditions. Can't blame Honda for the fault of our grey market vehicle importers. Nobody said Japanese cars are perfect, everybody is saying your revolutionary Dong- something 580 couldn't possibly be as perfect as you make it out to be.
  21. Premio isn't being sold in Europe, that's why it's not there ? Well the later iterations of Corollas doesn't hold up against the abuse of our local Baiyas as well as the 121, that doesn't mean Toyota has lowered their quality standards, they're just using newer technology that saves fuel and has fewer emissions at the cost of the hardiness and the reliability of older technologies (Eg: CVT vs 4AT).
  22. Well both Corolla and Yaris (JDM Vitz) have been tested by euro NCAP and conforms to both J-NCAP and euro-NCAP safety ratings so there is that ?
  23. Wow, you're right, Dongfeng / DFSK / Fengguang is not listed on EURONCAP listings. @Roshan321, care to explain?
