I have a 250cc reg cb400 and have had no issues with the cops so far. Although I do ride it extremely rarely like maybe once a year rarely haha. AFAIK there is no way to get the registration updated unless the government runs a reg campaign like they did in 2013/2014....

A detailed write up! I have a few questions, What model is the 4wd one? 206? Is the 4wd version available with the petrol engine? what is your model called the Hiace 206 4wd? or a different name?

Hi all, I'm looking to buy an Audi A3 so in order to do so I have to sell my 2000 VW Bora. I'll list out the details below. 00' VW Bora - Mileage - 198,000km Drivetrain - 2 Litre + Manual 5 speed. Condition - Cosmetically ok (being a 19 year old car it has some scratches and dents here and there, nothing major), Mechanically great. Bought the car for 1.6 million and spent around 370k on repairs because I was planning on keeping it for a while however being a manual and me driving it mostly in traffic is not great hence the decision to get a newer car. Mechanically there is nothing wrong, as I got the car I made sure everything was sorted out before driving it. I even have a spare engine (With 40k) ready to be swapped in. What is the current market for this car? I know it's going to be a bit difficult to sell. What can I do to make selling it easier?

Looking for a used BMW 730Li / 730 - F02
kadsa98 replied to Malith Dilanka's question in Car Buying Information
There is one (KT numbered) at 160 cars. STAY AWAY from it. I know for a fact that the car has been abused. Also avoid the active hybrid models, they are a pain. -
I have a 2000 VW Bora so it's almost 20 years old. On average the car covers 54,000km per year and It's fully insured. Even though you don't use the car much I would get complete coverage just for peace of mind.

I had a 2012 260 allion and it behaved the same way. It's because of the CVT design. Quite normal.

Hey! I have a Honda CB400 Spec 3, I can answer some of your questions. 1. The XR is air cooled so since you'll be mostly in traffic I would change the oil every 2500km - 3000km or 6 months. Stay away from caltex. Mobil is much better. I use Motul however it can be expensive. 2. There should be an oil filter however I do not know so best to google your bike model and find out. 3. What I do for my chain is, Clean the chain and sprockets well with kerosene, dry it off, Then lubricate with chain lubricant or used engine oil then wipe off the excess. 4. Again you better google that information. 5. The stock compression ratio is 9.0:1 so 92 octane is fine. 6. DOT 4 but check with google again. 7. There should be a sticker on the swing arm with the tire pressure and chain slack. 8. Make sure your brake pads are good. Check your throttle play and cable lubrication. I usually ride my CB every 6 months or so if you're going to store it for a while make sure to keep the battery charged and spray some fogging oil into the engine cylinders to make sure no rust comes about. 9. I use Motul engine oil for the CB however your XR's requirements may be different. I buy most parts from either dilan motors or ebay. Hornet house also has some parts but mostly for hornets.

Firstly I don't think your radiator fan could fail at 50,000km (I could be wrong). Check if the fuses are blown. If it's not the fuse, it's probably a sensor
-
Yup, make sure to change the oil correctly or the engine will sludge up quickly!
-
Thanks for the reply, I checked the engine for leaks and fixed the one leak I did find and cleaned out the pcv valve however the problem persists. I was told by a Euro garage to not put in thicker oil as that may damage it further due to the increased oil pressure from the thicker oil. If it gets really bad I'll just swap in the new engine.
-
Yeah I'm very much considering swapping in the new engine. Do you think I could sell off the old one for a decent price? by that I don't mean making money.
-
I was hoping to use the current one until it dies but now that it seems very likely I might just swap in the new one. I just don't like the hassle of finding a decent mechanic and doing all the legal changes.

Hey guys, So recently my VW started consuming oil at an unusual rate. I assumed it was due to me using the wrong grade engine oil (Was using 10W40 but was actually supposed to use 5W30) but I recently changed over to the correct oil grade 5W30 full synthetic but the problem seems to have gotten worse. Right now the mileage is 194,000km and I have been using the car since 155k. This issue only started recently. It's consuming oil at around a 1.3 liters per 1000km, there's no smoke from the exhaust but it does smell like it's burning oil. What do you think it is? Bad valve guide seals? worn piston rings? Bad compression? (I don't think it's bad compression because I can still reach 200kmph without too much effort) The good news is I have a spare engine with only 40k on it which I imported by mistake (Long story) but before I swap In the engine, I was hoping to at least make it to 250k on the ODO Thanks in advance

Chassis Number and Country of Origin not tallying
kadsa98 replied to agent47's question in Car Buying Information
Would I pay 2.45m for a 15-17 year old civic? no but that's up to you. If you think it's worth it, go for it Having maintenance records is always a good thing. Even if the car has done 300k, if it has been maintained properly you don't have to worry much. However personally for piece of mind I would change out all the fluids and filters just to be on the safe side. -
Toyota Ist - Intermittent Ignition Knocking Problem
kadsa98 replied to Tech Mate's question in Mechanical problems
empty your tank and pump 95 octane. it's knocking because of pre-detenation. 2NZ-FE engine has a compression ratio of 10.5:1. 92 is therefore ideal for lower compression ratio engines (generally low performance engines with a *ratio below 8.5:1), whereas 95 and 98 (*Ratios between 8.5:1 and 10:1) are more stable and suitable for high compression engines. Edit - ok i saw in the previous replies you have mentioned using 95 octane. ignore this then- 32 replies
