  3. Its a very serious myth that UK imported vehicles are full of corrosion..Obviously corrosion and signs of the early stages of corrosions are visible to naked eye. Its a fact that EU counties are commonly using salty substances to remove ice from roads, but as I know majority vehicles wear aftermarket protective underseals and its a common practice of regular underbody wash when exposed to salty environment. Its true that EU imported used cars are vulnerable for under-body corrosions and corrosion is something thats always visible. Good inspection can conclude that. Last but not least, many parts of Japan exposed to icing conditions are also using salty solutions. MINIACE

  9. Importing of body cuts are banned by law now. Special permits issued based on insurance agency reports for partial cuts on case by case basis. That is also done after very careful scrutiny. But the fact remains , I still see many face and rear cuts at spares agencies surely imported before the new rule or imported illegally. MINIACE
  10. How dare you buggers insult a dead person. How the hell you pundits came to a conclusion that car was overspeeding? Just because one cop suggested? By looking at the pictures IMHO thats a survivable accident, sad that it is clearly evident that driver was not wearing safety belts, basically created his own death, blame for that but not speeding. I heard that it took a long time to find the driver who was thrown out of the car due to darkness and he was alive that time, blame for the poor lighting too. We as Sri Lankan practiced the good tradition of respecting dead ones friend or foe. Stop insulting that tired youth who was driving home after a long day of work for speeding because no one can prove the speeding theory now. I still believe E01 is one of the most safest in the world despite a single fatal accident. MINIACE
  11. Having both hands on whilst driving is essential unless used to operate driver aids (Great changes, lights, visor etc.) . I was surprised to hear that ,driving with one hand and other one used to clean the nose/ face using a facial tissue is also considered a crime in accepted law here in SL.Yeah rules are that tough. So the fact remains playing with a mobile is a definite breach of law. You cant challenge a cop in courts unless you have solid evidence to proof. E images such as a footage from a mobile is considered a valid proof. Use the technology available at your arms length. Best weapon is the mobile phone video. Crying at courts yelling that a cop demanded a getaway ransom wont help at all. Just a waste of time, money and tears. MINIACE

Its taking to a great episode now DNA test to confirm suspect in Payagala crash "The police are to conduct a DNA test to ascertain the identity of the suspect who is in police custody over the death of two cyclists who were knocked down by him on Saturday night in Payagala. According to those who were in the vicinity of the accident, the driver of the vehicle was the nephew of a Deputy Minister. However they charged that the police have another 22-year-old youth into custody with regard to the incident."
